Sarah's Rice Pilaf

I was very excited to see the whole grain version. However, I didn't see that I should soak the rice until after, so I definately need to do that. Also, I used Smart Balance instead of butter and the 2 tablespoons I think was a little too much. Next time I'll use 1.5 and add some spices (basile, parsley and a little cayan). Thanks!!

Angie's Dad's Best Cabbage Coleslaw

Very good. I just used cabbage and carrots because I didn't have onion and celery at the time. I also let the dressing cool before adding it to the salad and it did not turn everything purple. Thanks for the recipe!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Outstanding... first real "fall of the bone" ribs recipe that worked for me. Next time I will brown in the oven a little longer and drain off more fat and cook in the crock pot shorter (5 hours on low). I just subbed one cup of katchup for bbq sauce and used coctail sauce instead of chili sauce.

Awesome Yogurt Biscuits

I was looking for somthing to make with yogurt because I had a lot left over. These were great! I didn't know what drop biscuites were, so I made a ball with the dough (about 1.5 to 2 inches) and flattened them and placed them on the cooking sheet. I also decided we needed some desert... so I rolled a ball of dough, pushed my thumb in the middle and added some semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 10). Then closed the whole, placed on sheet and sprinkled generously with sugar. Baked for about 9.5 minutes. Yummy! Thanks for the recipe! BTW; for those having trouble with the dough-you might be wanting to quit or add more yogurt too quickly. If you use 2 cups mix and 1 cup yogurt (8oz) , you should be fine. Just stir until most of the mix is no longer dried and then knead with your hands.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Very good! While traditional cuban sandwiches are made with pork, I love the modification! Great for turkey leftovers-which is what I used instead of deli meat. Just because this isn't the traditional cuban sandwich doesn't mean it deserves 1 start. Try it before you rate it. Goodness.
