Wild Rice Soup I
This was so delicious and easy!! I added some thanksgiving turkey that was left over and yum. The entire family loved it and my hubby asked me if I had made this from a mix I had hidden away. It tasted very high end. I will add garlic next time and small chunks of potatoes, but that's it. The base is flexible and so so good; thanks for posting!!!

My Best Clam Chowder
Yummy! I took advise from others and used bacon fat with the butter. That was a great idea. To add more flavor I cooked the veggies in broth. Next time I will buy additional clam juice to replace some of the liquid as I like a stronger clam flavor. I will also thin the soup as it was rather thick and while I am fine with thick, it would stretch out the soup while not sacrificing the flavor. Thanks for posting.

French Bread
This bread is both aesthetically pleasing and delicious! My husband even commented how beautiful it was. A couple if things. It rose well but next time I will add additional yeast (wish I would've read the reviews about that issue before mixing it up.) The suggestion to brush with butter and honey, placing foil and a damp cloth over was an awesome finishing touch. I'll be keeping this recipe! Final note, I used my dough hook to do all the kneading and it turned outgreat )always have a babe in arms so having both hands to knead is a rare luxury! )
