About this Cook
I am determined to become a better cook!! My kids complain that I am in need of cooking lessons. They tend to say things like....'Not spaghetti again Mom!!' : )
My favorite things to cook
Spaghetti! Na...just kidding.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Things I love that my family has cooked: Mom's lasagna. Mom's baked beans. Mom's homemade bread. Mom's homemade spaghetti sauce. : ) Mom's chicken and dumplings. Mom's deviled eggs. There is more..can't remember at the moment. Dad's fried chicken...think its Mom's recipe. ;) Dad's Crepes. Dad's applesauce and cranberry sauce. Dad's Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on ribs. Dad's blueberry pies...well...all the pies that he has made.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking tragedies
1. I cooked a (frozen) turkey upside down with giblets package still inside. Duh... (was 19) 2. I cooked a frozen pizza in the oven...with the cardboard still in place. Duh.. (19 but should have known better!) 3. I tried to impress my boyfriend with an attempt in making Creme Brulee...bought the little white cups and all. Burned the tops of Brulee with the torch..and burned myself as well. I was SO upset. Ran to the store at 9pm to get ingredients and try again. Was not successful. : (

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole
Different from your typical green been casserole. Was a nice change and a hit with friends and family.
