this was a GREAT recipe, but we'll add to the "way too salty" reviews. just cut downt he salt and it's a perfect indian dish (and easy!)!

The picture doesn't do this recipe justice. There is a better picture in the "photos of this recipe" and that is exactly howmy loaves turned out - absolute perfection. I wish I could rate this with 6 stars because it's the best bread recipe I've come across ina long time - and I love making yeast breads! I didn't change a thing in the recipe.

English Trifle

The shortbread was perfect for this recipe - I wouldn't use a store-bought pound cake because it wouldn't hold the amaretto or sherry very well. Also threw in some raspberries. A perfect summer dessert. It makes a HUGE trifle - enough for a 6-8 people dinner party with leftovers! Delicious!

Grandmother's Old Fashioned Butter Roll

I wasn't crazy about these rolls right out of the oven. They were much better after hardening in the fridge for about a day. Then they tasted more like a shortbread cookie. Otherwise, they were just greasy and mushy.

Best Moist Chocolate Cake

Very moist and delicious! I made this for my hsuband's birthday cake and he LOVED it. I also whipped up a quick frosting for it and it added to the chocolatey flavor (1 cup powdered sugar, 3 T. melted butter, a dash of light karo syrup, 3-4 T. cocoa powder, a few T. milk...mix together and spread over cake).

I make this exact recipe every autumn, and it never fails to impress people. It's so easy, and homemade applesauce is FAR better than the storebought!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

This was a really moist, delicious recipe, but very sweet. I would definitely make it again, but with a soup or something not as rich as enchiladas (since they're so sweet!).

Chicken Enchiladas I

This recipe was a hit! I marinated the chicken in a tequila-lime marinade for a few hours before cooking it and cut the chicken up into much smaller pieces than "cubes". I also omitted the water...delicious! Can't wait to make it again!
