I am a college student, studying nutrition and exercise science. I'm always in search of budget-friendly, quick, and primarily healthy recipes. I love all kinds of food and the atmosphere food creates.

Oatmeal- a thousand different ways Grain salads- quinoa, rice, millet, barley, etc EGGS!!! Squash, sweet potatoes, beets, tasty vegetables

My Momma's lasagna, Dad's venison steaks, Jessica's soups, Travis' bbq chicken
My cooking triumphs
Homemade pizza dough- it's my specialty! Also, quick breads, vegetable dishes, and beans
My cooking tragedies
Baking any sort of dessert- by omitting necessary ingredients like butter and sugar to make them "healthier"

Chicken Vegetable Barley Soup
I added extra celery and carrots and replaced some liquid with a bottle of pinot grigio. Quite tasty. Also, I used pearled barley and cooked it in chicken broth and dried basil.

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough
I've been using this recipe for almost a year now, every time I make it I have requests for the recipe! It's wonderful and delicious. I modified the recipe a little, by adding herbs and red pepper flakes to the dough. Also, when I have the time, I let it rise once or twice for about an hour. The honey really gives it it's characteristic flavor. Enjoy!

Guinness(R) Bread
This bread is so wonderful and simple to whip together! I used 3 Tablespoons of light butter, reduced-fat buttermilk, and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Also, I had Moose Drool beer on hand, and it tastes and smells divine! Thanks for the recipe!
