Chicken Matzo Ball Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Made this during the week and it is very good. I didn't have white pepper so I used black and it worked fine and I used dried parsley. I appreciate basic, simple food.

Homemade Melt-In-Your-Mouth Dark Chocolate (Paleo)

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
I found this recipe when looking for Paleo options. I had the ingredients and made half a batch to try it. It was great and tasted like healthy creamy chocolate.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
This recipe for Sloppy Joe's is delicious and just how we like it. We don't care for green pepper so I left it out. Since they are messy to eat I toasted thick bread slices and served the meat mix over top of the toast like an opened faced sandwich.

Amazing Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
Did not like this. The cooking times and heat burned this up and it did not taste good.

Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
Very disappointing recipe. I wanted to make but only got to the point of marinating the strawberries. When I tried to make the shortcakes the recipe has no flour and you can't make shortcakes without any flour. This was a total flop.

Vintage Lemonade

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2013
I made this a lot this summer. Very refreshing. I triple the batch so I have plenty on hand since it involves more time than other recipes to make but very worth it.

Trout Amandine

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
I used trout filets and we both loved this dish. Very easy to make and cooks up like you bought it at a restaurant. I bet this would be good with other filets of fish similar in texture.

Half and Halfs

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
These cookies are like a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate chocolate chip cookie stuck together. What's not to like and they look interesting too. I used semi sweet chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate chips and added walnuts to the chocolate chocolate chip side. We brought these to a potluck and this was the first cookie to go.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
Easy to make and tastes great. Sometimes I cheat and use a packaged gravy if I do not have beef broth on hand but I still use the sherry and the rest of the ingredients.

Tomozzakala Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
Made this salad to go with a meatloaf dinner and we both enjoyed it very much. Nice fresh taste and nice and light. I did splash it with a little balsamic vinegar because tomatoes are not in season and they were not as flavorful as fresh ripe summer tomatoes.

Wacky Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
This cake is as good as any other chocolate cake. I used a Paleo icing and not the one with this recipe because I wanted to try a Paleo icing. The two went well together and we enjoyed a healthier chocolate cake.

Paleo Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
I made this frosting for a wacky cake (even though the wacky cake is not a Paleo recipe) and thought it was very good. It's not real sweet like other frostings but the texture was great. When eating with cake you hardly notice the difference, at least my DH did not.

Classic Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
We liked this meatloaf and it made good leftover sandwiches the next day. I left out the red pepper and mushroom though because we do not care for red pepper and I didn't think 4 mushrooms would make or break the dish.

Paleo Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
Very good flavor and easy to make. We don't like a lot of green or red peppers in our chili but I felt I should use one for flavor so I used a small green one. I served over rice even though this is not part of the Paleo concept.

Bolognese Stuffed Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
This was so tastey. I changed it up just a bit to be more like a Bolognese I would make. I added a little garlic and onion to the mix and used crumbled Italian sausage instead of bacon and used just enough cream till it looked good. Served with garlic bread and salad and had a wonderful meal.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
This is excellant toffee! My stove top cooks hot so I had to reduce the flame more to low once it boiled to allow it to cook properly and had no problems. The first batch was eaten so quick I had to make another.
