Shepherd's Pie II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
This recipe was pretty good. It was my first time making it. My one year old loved it. I suggest putting a layer of mashed potatoes down first, then the ground meat mix, then another layer of mashed potatoes. Top off with cheddar cheese the last 15 minutes in the oven

Peanut Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
They were sooo good. I mean were because once they semi-cooled down they were all gone. I was alittle hesitant about adding the egg, simply because I don't like that "eggie" taste, but let me tell you, there was no "eggie" taste. They were soft and tasted just like a pb cookie should. This recipe made it look like I have been making pb cookies for years. Thanx for this recipe. p.s I did put the dough in the fridge for like 1-2 hours, I think it helped...

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
This recipe is great. However, maybe I left them in the oven a bit too long, they were alittle hard the next day. The flavor was still amazing, I also put 1 tbs of vanilla and 1 tbs of almond extract. Good flavor. I did toast the coconut alittle before mixing. Also, mixing the liquids together before also helped. It is a sticky process. I used aluminum foil and I let them cool and I had no problem with them sticking to it...

Baklava II

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
I was very nervous working with the phyllo dough, it is so delicate. This recipe was very easy to follow, i just wished I had followed it more closely... :) That being said, you have to remember how many layers you have put down. Also, don't use too many nuts... I unfortunately added too many nuts :( I had a variety of nuts almonds, walnuts and pecans...again too many. Oh well, it did have a good flavor, just too many nuts...one more thing, i took out 1 cup of sugar, because you are already adding 1 cup of honey. It was ok with, that but next time, I might go with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 cup of honey and see how that goes... good luck... :)
