Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2012
Thanks Heather for posting this recipe - it is exactly what I've been looking for. I just put it together & placed in the oven, but I know it's gonna be great from the taste & smell. I really like how you can take a basic recipe like this one & make small changes so easily as long as you keep the main ingredients the same amount. Since I didn't have can chicken I used a couple of chicken breast. Also, I didn't have a can of cream of mushroom but did have a can of broccoli cheese soup. Other than that adding a little spice, all the rest I had on hand. I think my family is going to love this!

Waffles II

Great Recipe for light & fluffy waffles. Easy ingredients to gather & mix up & they turned out very good. Did add the vanilla & sugar like a couple reviewers suggest. This is a keeper!

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Really good! I followed just as written, except for one thing: I didn't have as many wingettes as I thought(only 10), so I also used two boneless skinless chicken breast cut into strips. Other than that, I used the recipe with Franks Hot Sauce. I turned them at 20 minutes & they were done 22 minutes later. Very Tender, yet a little crispy. This is a keeper to be made again.

Oven Fries

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Such a simple recipe with so many good reviews, but it didn't work for me - not the results I was hoping for. I followed the ingredients and prep, but I think I may have messed up by not turning them over half way through cooking. Mine were not done at 30 minutes, so I cooked them another 10 minutes, which was way too long. They were pretty burnt, but yet didn't feel done with a toothpick. Then I steamed them for 2 minutes in the microwave, cut off the burnt ends & edges, but they just weren't what I thought they would be - But I admit that I should have turned them during cokking, so I'll give 3 stars...just won't be trying this recipe again.

Spiced Parsnip Soup

This is a heavenly soup! I had never eaten parsnips before, but since I love carrots, I thought I would give this a try. It is delicious and I don't change it at all.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Absolutely wonderful! I wasn't sure this would be as good as cooking it on the stove, but not to worry, it's even better. The first time I made it, I thought I had all the ingredients, but as I assembled it, I did not have the enchilada sauce. I substitued it with a can of rotel tomatoes, and it was very good, but it seemed like something was missing. The next time I made it, I had the enchilada sauce, and what a difference it made - was really delicious. I don't always have the fresh cilantro on hand, but we always top off with grated cheese and sour cream. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
This is a wonderful stew, just as directed. My family loves it. Now that I've made it a few times, I've added more garlic cloves, to our taste, and I coat the meat in 2 tablespoons of kitchen bouquet, before dusting it with flour, and add more beef stock or water with beef boullion. I've also made it with 2 white potatoes and 1 sweet potato, but honestly, the recipe is wonderful as written. Thanks for sharing.
