Brussels Sprouts in Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
Delicious as is! I forgot to add the lemon as I did not have a fresh one on hand. After I tasted it I realized what was missing and added a few sprinkles of True Lemon crystallized lemon. Just the right flavor. Even my husband said, "Ususally I am sick of eating them after a few but I am finishing the leftovers now!" I did add salt to taste while on my plate.

Hot and Tangy Broccoli Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
Fabulous flavor. Meat so tender and delicious. Just added various veggies I had along with broccoli. And ginger really is a must. Doubled water & cornstarch mixture amounts for enough sauce for rice. Used the single recipe amount of vinegar though and I thought that was just right. Everyone like it.

Asian Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
I used my rice cooker without modifying any ingredient amounts and this turned out fabulous. The only modifications were that I used basmati rice and I added a teaspoon of coconut oil. WOW! It was perfect with tandoori chicken. I don't know if it was the extra teaspoon of coconut oil that I added but the coconut flavor was there and the sweetness just right. Thanks for a great new side!

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Perfectly, deliciously easy. No salt needed but I liberally add freshly ground pepper for the best flavor. I did end up mixing another cup of milk with a couple tablespoons of flour and adding it to the first amount, which was already thickening, with no problem. Next time I will double the gravy without adding to the sausage as we wanted more liquid for our biscuits but thought the sausage was enough already. GREAT flavor made by cooking it all in the same pan. Thanks! No need to use the packaged envelope kind ever.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
I am on Kauai and love kalua pork. This recipe tasted just like all the kalua pig I have enjoyed here. The simplicity of this reciped works. I used Wrights Hickory Smoke and that gave it the flavor I like the best. I have a Hawaiian liquid smoke but the taste is not the same. I also used a black Hawaiian Salt called Black Lava made here. Now I have had some REALLY salty kalua pig - almost inedilble. I did use less salt to cook it because you can always add more. Mine turned out perfectly served over unseasoned white rice. I also cooked it on high for 4 hours, turning it once after 2 hours, and then pulled it apart and returned it to the juice for the next hour on low. Thanks for a great, easy recipe!

Maple Dill Carrots

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
I cooked this just as written and the water cooked away just as the carrots reached that perfectly done stage. No need to drain. I added the other ingredients and cooked it down to the right consistency. Delicious and easy! Thanks!

Japanese Green Beans with Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
When my husband said, "This is really good, excellent" for the third time, I figured I better give it 5 stars. It is so easy to make and the taste is deliciously different. I used 1/4 cup organic dark brown sugar as I don't believe Splenda is all it's cracked up to be and I wanted an earthier flavor.

This was incredibly easy, fast & tasty. I used thyme and more lemon. Just the recipe when neither of us wanted to cook!

Ignacio's Super Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
Amazingly wonderful. The extra piece of bread is really very filling, so it's best to split with someone. I don't think it would be too good made, then eaten hours later as a packed lunch, what toasted sandwich does? But, for those of us craving good old pb&j, I say thanks!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2004
I got rave reviews and recipe requests for this one. It was a little sweet for me, but not for most. I substituted cheesecake pudding mix for the vanilla.

Hearty Multigrain Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
Fabulous in the bread machine. What a shame I gave up my first machine for low carb eating. This recipe makes me sure I did the right thing in getting another! My husband commented on how good this bread was every time he ate a slice. Toasting in just made it more yummy! Use whatever seeds or grains you have on hand.

Rachel's Wasabi Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
Just what I wanted - a cocktail sauce that was easy to prepare and ready to eat right away. I LOVE the wasabi in this. Nice bite that is easy to adjust. I find myself slathering my shrimp with this. Thanks, I would have never thought to use the wasabi.

Smothered Green Beans

The only recipe change I made was to use chicken stock instead of water. Perfectly delicious. Really, what isn't, if it has bacon in it?
