About this Cook
I started cooking at a very young age. I was seven when I fixed the first family meal, do to the fact that my Mom was sick when I was small.
My favorite things to cook
Are things that my family will eat with out complaining and that is a feat in it's self. I sneak things in on them to boast more health diets for us.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On my side of the family there is several different ethnics there but my husband is Spanish American. Growing up I had Italian, German, French, Native American, and American food. And we had lots of fish because it was free.
My cooking triumphs
Become a good New Mexican cook. Help my husband's Uncle in his catering business when he was a live. And when I over heard him tell someone, he was now learning from me. He sent me to classes to learn how to decorate cakes for our business. Learning to be a good Baker and all the tricks was great.
My cooking tragedies
First time I tried to make tortilla the dog wouldn't even eat them. Now it is funny but at the time I cried. I was only 18 at the time as well. Thank God my husband's Uncle helped me learn how to fix the dishes my Husband grow up on.

Blonde Brownies I
This is a great recipe one best blond brown recipe I have. Sometimes I add colored M&M's during holidays instead of chocolate chips for gifts. At Christmas add red and green M&M's , Valentines Day add pink and red M&M's and for Easter I put pastels M&M's and I always double the recipe for my family. If I want to be extra festive I cut this with shape cookie cuts when I gifting them.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
I love this recipe but I did change it the second time I prepared it just on how I prepared it. I went ahead and mix up my spices and add 1 teaspoon of Season All Salt to it as well. I sliced my chicken breast up where they looked like more like stir fry slices instead of whole breast for faster cooking time. Then I put the chicken with the spice and shake it up. I fixed the butter olive oil with fresh minced garlic kind of like scampi style. Then just before I pulled it I squeased on my lime juice. My family like it better the second time because they said the chicken was spiced more evenly. This now has became our go to chicken taco recipe. Thank you for share. Last night I tried even adding the splash of tequila as one member suggested by add it with Lime juice and it was great as well.

Weekday Pot Roast and Vegetables
This is a very good and easy dish to fix. With the left overs I make soup which my family like just as well. I cube up the veggies in to smaller pieces and shredded the meat. In a 3 quart sauce pan I put a can of diced tomatoes and 1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables 2 cup water. Warm this up the add left over in to it. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes to blend flavors. My family ate both meal like there was no tomorrow.
