Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
This is a fabulous recipe that I have used every two weeks since I found it three months ago! I do add FOUR extra ripe mashed bananas, 1 tablespoon of sour cream, and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. My loaves have always baked in 40 minutes (practically on the dot.) I highly recommend it!

Blue Cheese, Port, and Walnut Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2004
This was a huge hit at my book club! You must be patient while reducing the port, but the end result is a wonderful spread for crackers.

Hoagie Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2002
A perfect football party dip for those hungry fans! Not only was this soooo easy to prepare, it tasted great. I mixed some balsamic vinegar with the oregano and added a few dashes of olive oil since it didn't already have enough fat in it ?!?!?! Highly recommended.

Texas Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2002
This was a quick fix, delicious recipe. I served it warm with french vanilla icecream which made it even more appealing to my guests. The only worry with this recipe is that there are many people who don't like coconut, and there's really nothing I could think of to substitute it with. Other than that, it was very good.

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2002
This is a fabulous recipe to make for a large group of people. The flour from the coated chicken thickens up the sauce which is packed with chopped up peppers, mushrooms and onions. Delicious!

Not only was this an easy, quick fix, but it also looked like I had slaved for much longer than it actually took!

The Best Cheeseball

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2002
I've now been requested to bring this cheeseball to two parties since I first served it. It's got just enough "kick" but doesn't make you run for a drink and it is easy to spread. I also left out the jalepenos and replaced them with green onion. I was out of worchester sauce so used extra virgin olive oil and it gave it a nice flavor as well.
