Roasted Beet and Potato Soup

I made this soup tonight for Halloween dinner, it was absolutely scrumptious. I did not puree it fully, I left it a little chunky, the flavour with the roasted beets and potatoes definately adds to the flavour.

Easy Corn and Crab Chowder

I made this recipe on the weekend using fresh crab, it was amazing. I added the curry and it was very tasty, could not imagine it without the curry. Next time I make it, I will try using milk and coconut milk.

Hawaiian-Style Chili

We love this recipe, we do add mushrooms as my husband and I love mushrooms. We also add a pack of Taco seasoning, chick peas, fresh garlic and fruit chutney. The pineapple in this recipe really adds so much flavour, almost like a sweet and sour combination.

Asparagus Lasagna

I made this recipe this evening, I used fresh asparagus, I did not pre cook it as it was very young and tender. I also used more cheese than the recipe asks for. I added salt as I was not using ham, I used various sliced meats and layered them. This is a great recipe and will definately make it again.

Maple Salmon

I make this same recipe except if I do not have Maple Syrup I use Honey, I also add some crushed pecans and it really gives it a nice finish to this wonderful Salmon Dish.

I am South African living in Canada, we make ours with the banana layered on the bottom and at least 3 bananas sliced thickly, then cover with the boiled caramel and top with whipped cream and you have to add the grated either peppermint crisp chocolate or peppermint aero.
