Orange-Glazed Cornish Hens

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
Just one comment. I'm English; Cornish splits aren't just the roll. The term covers the whole presentation, which is made up of these rolls, split and served with clotted cream and jam. The whole thing is a Cornish split, not just the roll.

Chicken Pot Pie with Cheddar Crust

I don't even have enough pots to put this recipe together! My own recipe is much simpler. Thanks anyway.

Easy Bakewell Tarts

Believe me, this is not an authentic Bakewell Tart recipe - not even close.

Maryland Crab Cakes II

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
I'm from Maryland also. The recipe sounds OK except PLEASE don't shred the crab meat. It should stay in lumps and be handled gently. It's traditional to use Maryland's own Old Bay seasoning, not hot sauce. Also, when formed the cakes should be refrigerated for about half an hour, to firm up a little and prevent their breaking up in the pan.

Fried Cabbage II

This was really delicious! It was the first time I had cooked fried cabbage and it certainly won't be the last.

Great British Fry Up

Fairly accurate UK recipe. Leave out the hash browns. Add lamb or veal kidney, fried bread and baked beans. I prefer a Portobella mushroom.

Classic Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
I did not care for this recipe. I dropped the brown sugar to 1 tablespoon and layered the ingredients, rather than forming rolls. I like garlic but four cloves were too many for me. I baked it in a 350ºF. oven for 1 hour and found that there was a great deal of watery liquid at the end. I didn't even care for the flavor. Won't make again.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2004
This is delicious. I, too, added garlic and basil with good results. Rave family reviews! One caveat - I don't think I'm particularly slow, but it took me longer than the stated 5 minute prep time.

Rum Mocha Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
I made this today and it received thumbs up. It's delicious but very rich, so I skipped the whipped cream and cherries.
