Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

This was a very good twist on an old favorite. I think the roux must be the key to its abundant flavor. And like it says, if all ingredients are lined up on the counter, making this dish is about the easiest thing you'll do all week. My whole family really enjoyed this dish.

Baked French Toast

In a frenzy the night before one of my daughters' birthday celebrations when the whole world was coming over for breakfast, I happened on this recipe which was an amazing, delightful taste experience for the whole family! Even people who usually turn up their noses at French Toast were asking for seconds. Considering how easy the preparation was, I could not say more about how great the results were.

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Of the many variations of this recipe out there, this proved to be a reliable, easy version. I thought I was so smart using a can of cream of chicken soup since I did not have the celery soup and then came on the site and saw at least 30 other cooks did the same thing! If one is pressed for time and needs to be able to count on the outcome, try this recipe and don't worry about goosing it up, it works just fine the way it is.

Davy's Gravy

I have had this recipe on hand for over a year and knew that it would be a good one for my family. I also knew that it would probably be better if the dish was cooked and then sat all day before reheating for supper. I think that is what worked, because although it is one of the most unpleasant looking dishes you'll ever make, it tastes great! I used the ingredients given, but increased the flavorings a little because I had a bit over 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef. I did not need the corn starch. Even my four picky children loved it.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Steak Mix-Up

I made this for the troops last night and it was incredibly easy. The compliments were unceasing--you'd think I'd worked all day on it! Make sure to use some good steak which made the whole dish really flavorful. Though the children picked out the peppers, all in all they thought it was great!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs II

It is impossible for an average cook like myself to look at this simple ingredients list and determine that it could be converted into the wild, delicious taste extravaganza that resulted! I have 4 children, from 10-17, with a wide array of likes and dislikes. This one was a unanimous 5-star Eat Like A Viking contest. I knew I would have to double the batch, but it still disappeared. Great recipe and so easy, no fuss.

Christmas Brunch Casserole

I made this for the first time last week and doubled the batch, as I expected a whole hoard of family on Christmas morning. They went crazy over it--and I don't get some of the previous reviewers who said the bacon didn't get cooked enough. I made sure I fried it crispy to begin with before even putting it in the casserole. I was afraid there would be too much saltiness with the bacon and the garlic salt, but the double batch of ingredients probably alleviated that. I doubled everything precisely, except added extra pepper. Nuthin left!

Texas Eggs

Just made my first batch--I can tell it will be great and it sure was easy. One thing though, I could not imagine actually using a can of cheddar cheese soup, it did not sound appealing. I used cream of mushroom soup instead, and will try cream of celery next time.
