Banana Berry Smoothie II

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
Absolutely delicious, a perfect concoction! I used frozen strawberries b/c I was too impatient to let them thaw, and it was icy cold. I wouldn't change a thing. Yum!

California Smoothie

Delicious! Really refreshing. I think next time I'll add some vanilla to play with the flavor, but it really doesn't need anything, it's great as is!

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
This was pretty good. I did cut it down to 3 eggs and it was still definitely quite eggy, but I think cream puffs are anyway. I also followed a tip that others had left, and whipped the filling, it was delicious that way.

The Best Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
This is an awesome recipe. We ate it for dinner two nights in a row, it was so good. Having made this so many times, I've played with it a bit and here is how I make it now: After preparing the beef/bean mixture and putting it into the bottom of the pan, I put on the olives, tomatoes, and cheese. Then I bake it and put on the sour cream and green onions (subbed these for regular onion) when it comes out of the oven. It is sooooooo much better that way. The sour cream retains its creamy texture, and the green onions retain their bite. If the sour cream is baked, it gets kind of curdled and we like it better the other way. Very very good recipe!

Melting Moments III

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
This recipe is absolutely delicious. I made it once with raspberry jam in the middle, and once with strawberry jam... sooooo good, they were gone in less than an hour.. and my husband is generally not a cookie person. Yum!

Autumn Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
I'm giving this two stars because even though I did not like it, my husband did. I thought it was much too sour even though I added some more sugar as someone suggested. I couldn't even eat it.

Sangria-Spiced Melon

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2005
This was delicious. The pepper adds a nice unexpected kick to it. I also made it with plum wine and it was fabulous then as well. Perfect for a sweltering summer day!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: May 11, 2006
I doubled the recipe for my son's birthday party. I used dulce du leche topping. Despite the fact that the party was small, this cake was completely devoured! It is excellent! I'm making it again this year.

Spiced Quinoa

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
This was very good and basically the way I was expecting it to taste by the picture and reading the recipe. I did add about 1/2 Tbsp. of honey and omitted the pine nuts (I didn't have any), but I can't wait to try it with them!

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
This is the PERFECT hummus recipe according to my idea what what hummus should taste like. I reduced the cayenne to 1/8 b/c my kids would otherwise think it was too spicy. This tastes pretty much exactly like Trader Joe's roasted pepper hummus. Excellent!
