Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Thought this was really good. I used fresh basil instead of parsley and half and half instead of heavy cream (its what I had). Added corn starch as another suggested to thicken it up and it was perfect. Used Cavatappi pasta and it held the sauce beautifully. Also used 1 can of Diced tomatoes with Basil, Garlic and Oregano, and a couple of fresh diced tomatoes. Also added some Oregano to the tomatoes before adding to the dish. Will definitely try again and continue to experiment.

Baked Parmesan Tilapia

Thought it was tasty and tender. Also easy to make. Teenage son and I did it together for mothers day and we both enjoyed it a lot. We didn't have quite enough bread crumbs though, so i would add more. Also could use a little more seasoning. Will try it on a rack next time so gets crunchy on both sides, as suggested by another reviewer.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Fish was tender sauce was creamy, my teenage son loved it! I used Sour Cream instead of mayo and fresh basil not dried, and 1 tbl lemon. It was just right.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Threw in a Bay leaf, salt and peper, used dried minced onion instead of fresh. Also marinated the chicken in italian dressing for about 30 minutes first. Only used one can of condensed soup, and about a cup of chicken broth. Called my son to add the rolls before my commute and they were in for closer to an hour, but it worked out fine.

Make-Ahead Unstuffed Shells

Had to tweak for on hand ingredients. Cream cheese made it very tasty and I liked it a lot. Didn't have fresh basil, but used a Basil pasta sauce from Newman's own I think. Threw in some red pepper flakes for a little kick and some minced garlic too. My 14 yr old gave it a "definitely make again" rating!
