I have been using this recipes for a year now. The first time I made it tasted great. I know my family has different taste so have now modified the recipe for my family. I use fresh mushrooms vs canned, So before browning the meat I sauté the mushrooms, garlic and onions together, then removing them from the heat I then brown the meat. I have a large family so leaving the meat in the pan is not going to work so I then remove the meat add a little of the white wine to get the chunks off stuff off the bottom. Then proceed add in the rest of ingredients along with the beef and mushroom mix back in and simmer for a hour.
