Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
Great flavor! Sear the meat and set it in the crock then saute some onions along with the garlic laying on top of the meat. I enjoy adding a squirt or 2 of honey & reducing the brown sugar as well. The best tip I can give is to shred the beef when ready then put it back in and leave the lid off your crock pot for about an hour. The sauce will thicken beautifully & give the shredded meat an opportunity to soak up all that love.: )

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2013
Awesome! Finally a casserole that doesn't have to be made the night before! I used a cinn raisin bread & instead of milk used flavored coffee creamer....my favorite trick! I then can eliminate adding the sugar & vanilla in the casserole. I made a double batch baking the 2nd batch in individual cupcake liners in muffin tins for a quick weekday breakfast.

Mardi Gras King Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2014
Huge hit at our home! Made it with Cindy's Jambalaya for a perfect Fat Tuesday meal. I made it in our bread machine till step 3. Yes it does make more than one. In fact I made I large and 2 small choosing to give 2 away with a note "Laissez les bons temps rouler". I did forget to pick up a toy baby....and baby Jesus was tucked away in the attic. :))) ps I added a bit of vanilla to the frosting.

Cindy's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2014
Huge hit at our house! The tip to saute the rice prior to adding to the mix worked like a charm. I used old bay so as to not get the "heat" for my little people. Also since I was without shrimp I used imitation crab (I know I'm making people cringe)as well as left over turkey. I love how adding the sausage to the olive oil before adding the trinity gave the dish amazing depth! Thank YOU!!

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2014
These are THE BEST! I made them at night using bread flour and allowed my bread maching to do the mixing and kneading. Then I cold proofed them in the fridge overnight. I used my ovens proof setting in the morning then baked as directed. Oh I dab a bit of the goo on the up side to help prevent drying out. I ended up with 16 since It's easier to cut with even numbers. Lol 3 days later they are still moist and delish!! ps thanks to the reviewer for sharing the rolling technique and to use the roller on top of the toppings...they looked bakery beautiful!
