About this Cook
I'm studying Culinary/Baking Arts at The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. FL. I've been attending for little over a year, I love it! The Culinary Art Teachers are awesome, from the cooking techniques to sanitation. I'd chose the right field to be in, I'm so blessed to be able to attend and enjoy the practical and general aspect of this field.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, anything. From bread to brownies, I also love to slow cook and fry now and again, it varies what I have in my pantry.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spanish and Italian Cooking.
My cooking triumphs
Attending AIFL and surviving everyday challenges in class! It's so well worth it!
My cooking tragedies
Making Italian Bread for a Chef, I was interviewing it was either April or May of this year, for my Concepts and Theory Class. I had to interview a Chef who inspired me. Anyway, it was either April-May of this year, the humidity in South Florida killed my yeast. I must have made 6 loaves of bread that day. I wanted to cry, I so wanted to impress him. Then the lesson I learned, when humidity strikes don't bake! :)

German Potato Salad
I never made German Potato Salad before; this recipe was easy to follow. If you can, get a Maple bacon then you won't need sugar in this recipe. Also, you might need to add more flour, bacon fat and white wine vinegar to get the right consistency to make the dressing.

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones
I loved this recipe so easy to make! If anything water needs to be added slowly, to form a dough. It will depend where you live, due to the moisture where I live in South Florida. I also made this recipe, for my class project for Food and Beverage Management Class at AIFL in the Culinary Department.
