Baked Spaghetti Squash with Beef and Veggies

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
This was awesome! Tasted great. Great way to use spaghetti squash. I used zucchini instead of bell pepper and added some crushed red pepper. Yum!

Indian Sabji Recipe

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2012
This didn't look quite like I expected but it tasted good and was very "moreish". I found I needed to add a bit more water (perhaps up to a cup) and turn the heat down to low once it was simmering. My husband did find the coriander seeds a little bitter.

Choc-Oat-PB Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2012
My husband gave this 5 stars. Next time I think I will use slightly less sugar and slightly more oats.

Pumpkin Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
This was the first time I'd made a pumpkin pie, and it turned out awesome! Am about to make it again :-) I used fresh pumpkin and blackstrap mollases.

Aggression ( Oatmeal ) Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
YUM! I have made this twice, once with quick oats and once with old fashioned oats. Different outcomes but both great! With the quick oats it reminds me of Hobnobs. Your choice of oat type and cooking time allows you to vary the denseness of the cookie. My cookies have not been crumbly at all. Would be easy to reduce the sugar content if they are too sweet for personal taste. The old fashioned oats also seem to lessen the sweetness a little. Like other reviewers have said, I did not bother with the sugar and glass etc. Just pick up a little ball and squash it down :-) Simple!

Blueberry Loaf Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
Great blueberry cake. It did take 65 minutes to bake, which I can put down to oven variation but any longer and I would quibble with the recipe!

Cindy's Southern Vegetable Delight

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
This is great. I guess the reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it is almost too simple, ie all the goodness is in the freshness of the vegetables.

Broccoli Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
I found this recipe when looking for inspiration as to how to use the last few remaining foods in the house. This was a great combination of broccoli, soup, and stuffing! I used an onion soup mix with added cream, so I can't vouch for the specific recipe flavours but the idea is very good!

No Bake Lime Mousse Torte

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
I made this for a church meal and it was universally complimented! Personally I always love cheesecakes that use gingersnap crusts :B The lime flavour is great. The white chocolate can't really be tasted, unless you are great at recognising flavours, but it probably makes the overall flavour what it is - balancing out the lime, etc. The crust formed well, although crumbled when cut. The mousse itself was the perfect texture/consistency.

Proper English Cottage Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
I'm British and I LOVE this recipe. Most of the time I use slightly less cheese to because I like the texture of the straight potato browned on top. So long as you use fresh ingredients, it is wonderful to enjoy the taste of the carrots and mashed potato and beef mixture. Often I don't have tomato paste on hand and have used some kind of tomato sauce instead.

Banana Coconut Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
Great loaf! I used vanilla extract instead of almond as that was what I had, and used 1 cup coconut with no cherries or nuts. It kept its form well, crumbled only slightly when cut, and was lovely and moist, particularly in the centre. I thought the coconut complimented the banana very well. Definitely something one should savour in the mouth instead of gulping down!
