I loved this sauce. Perfect amount of spice for me - I made it exactly as the recipe said and wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for sharing!

Baked Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
I loved this recipe. I used balsamic vinegar - will try cider vinegar next time, just didn't have any. I made it today for my Mother's Day get together and everyone loved them. They liked that it was different than "green bean casserole." I used frozen green beans - turned out great!

Beef or Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
I didn't have soy sauce so I used a touch of teriyaki sauce. I only had time to marinade for 3 hours -- it was great, but would have been even better if I marinaded it over night! Served with veggies on the side and slaw.

Caribbean Holiday Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
Note to self: 2 tablespoons ground ginger does not = 2 tablespoons grated fresh giner. OMG was this HOT!!!! LOL! Right after dinner I was running for the Tums. I will definitley make this again with scaling down the ground ginger. I didn't have any soy so I used a touch of terriyaki sauce. I'm ready to try this recipe again w/correct ingredients and measurements!

Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
This was just so-so to me. I didn't have any tarragon so I used basil. I needed to scale the whole recipe down because I only used a bag of cole slaw mix. I think it wold have been better with cider vinegar and more sugar.

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
I loved the recipe! I used red pepper flakes and maybe a little too much because it was HOT! But my husband said it wasn't that hot -- I just couldn't handle it. :-) I chopped up chicken and marinated for 3 hours. I then served it with rice and fresh veggies.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

I really enjoyed this. I used boneless breast, Cattleman's Smokehouse BBQ, and cooked it for 8-10 hours on low. Next time I will try it with a different bbq sauce. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Hearty Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
I really enjoyed this recipe -- thanks for sharing it. The only thing I did differently was use 1/2 a green pepper and rown rice instead of white. I was looking for a true southern recipe for Red beans and rice. Although the hunt is still on for that -- I have a great substitute! Thanks again!

Blackberry Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
We have made this about three times so far and it's turned out excellent every time. My husband was a little skeptical of putting flour in it at first, but he got over that once he saw how it came out and how delicious it was. I can't wait until blackberry's are in season again so we can make this!

I made this following the recipe -- it was just a little too salty for me. Next time I will take the advice of other reviewers. Thanks for sharing!

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
Do not refrigerate this over night! What a mistake!! I was making it ahead of time but the next day it tore when trying to roll it out.. It was awful! And this recipe does not make enough for two pies. We were able to put both halfs of the dough together and make one crust. The crust came out a little thick, but luckily, it worked. Taste was good - prep was horrible.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2005
Great recipe! I had a small chicken that I boiled with onion and celery for about an hour. I then took the meat off the chicken and placed it in the pot with the other ingredients. I added the carrots with everything because I wasn't paying attention. I then added the peas and then added the dumplings - but I used Reames dumplings. I added too much water so I just added another can of cream of chicken soup to even it out. This got rave reviews from my husband (who is not wild about chicken n dumplings) and also his daughter. This is going in the binder! Thanks for sharing!

Easy Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
I ended up doubling the recipe because my parents wanted some. The flavor was good but I did add salt. I bought 2 16oz bags of beans and soaked them over night. The next day I threw everything into the crockpot on 10 hours. (I browned the turkey sausage first.) OH, I also added lots of water to cook the beans in. This meant that I'd have to thicken the water -- which I did with cornstarch and water mixture. I skipped the sage because I did not have any. The flavor turned out great, but only 4 stars because I was just unsure how to cook those beans! Next time I will probably use cans.

My icing never thickened up! It did a little, but not much! But that's ok, I poured it over my Pillsbury boxed German Chocolate cake and got rave reviews by my coworkers at work! Thanks for sharing!!!

Mahogany Chicken Wings

I followed this recipe exactly and they turned out perfectly! They were just what I was expecting! Remeber to grease the bottom of your pan extremely well - I did and the marinade still stuck to the bottom!

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
I used this recipe for lasagna. It is delicious! I made the sauce in the slow cooker the night before and let it cook for 4 hours. I added one tablespoon of brown sugar as suggested by the other reviewers. I took leftovers to my parent and they asked for the recipe! Thanks for sharing a terrific sauce that is already added to my recipe binder!!!! I'm looking forward to making another batch to freeze so it will be ready whenever I need it. PS-I used 2 cans of tomato sauce and two cans of whole tomatoes blended them up together; omitted the green peppers.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2005
great recipes! I used fresh rosemary and parsley; which I think made all the difference! Also only used 1 lb of meat (that's all I had). And I added green beans and a little more cornstarch because I like it a little thicker. Great recipe and thanks for sharing!

Skillet Chicken Picante

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2004
My husband loves mexican, so i surprised him with this! I cooked the chicken in the slow cooker and put garlic on both sides. The last two hours, I put the picante sauce (specially made by my uncle!!!) in. I omitted the tomatoes, but added refried beans for the tortillas. I also served with black beans. Topped all with sour cream. YUM-BO!!!!!!
