Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
Worked great! I did it all by hand because I thought it would be too messy to use the Kitchen Aid... next time I'll break out the KA. I used it 1/2 hour after making (letting it rest in the frig) because I needed it done right away. I don't know if it would be better the next day, but it seemed just fine in the time I had. My 9 year old had a great time using it to make Ninjago decorations for his birthday treat. I don't think I'll use the butter next time, I'll use shortening or coconut oil instead.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
Fab! All my kids loved these, and I loved how easy it was to pull off on a school morning! * add on review: I tried this again today, first with a Krusteez Cranberry Orange Muffin Mix, and again with a Duncan Hines Decadent Carrot Cake Mix (which came with a separate raisin/dehydrated carrot package). Both came out FABULOUS! I split a large can of pumpkin between the two mixes, using slightly more for the carrot cake as it was a larger mix (probably 3/5ths of the can). In both cases I skipped the spices: I didn't want to overpower the Orange muffins, and the carrot cake already had spices in the mix. I think I'll try adding nuts to the next batch!

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
This is getting 5 stars because of the response it got at a party, but thought it needed a little something. I'll definitely make it again, but I may try to jazz it up a bit.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2006
As close to Mrs. Fields' version as I've found! I followed the recipe exactly and used dark dutch process cocoa. They turned out perfect! Just don't overcook them! Mine were small so were baking in 6-7 minutes.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2004
WOW WOW WOW! The only suggestion I have for this recipe is that it could use a little crunch. The next time I make it, I think I'll top it with chopped nuts.

Brownie Mix in a Jar II

Reviewed: May 25, 2004
Excellent! I used an air insulated pan which helped even out the baking and kept them nice and fudgy. Also, if you don't have a lot of jars around, try using the "disposable" plastic containers. They come in 1 quart sizes, and you can still layer - they're just harder to decorate. For close friends and family (especially guys) that will appreciate whats inside more than the outside appearance, it's a great alternative.

Banana Bread VII

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
For a mom of two small children, this recipe is a real treat. I always have a few ripe bananas in the freezer for making banana bread, but since I found this recipe, I've run out!! Thanks.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies III

Talk about nostalgia! I can almost smell the cafeteria every time I make these. Thanks so much for sharing! (P.S. in our school, these were often coated with melted chocolate - yummmmy!)

Blue Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2002
As the originator of this recipe, I'm happy this has been so well received. As some suggestions have noted, this is a tart recipe unless you have very sweet blueberries. We like it that way, but a bit more sugar can work well too. I've used this recipe for many years, not just as a side dish but as a substitute fruit filling in other recipes such as tarts and layered granola bars. I've even used it as a topping for ice cream and a filling for a layer cake. And of course we never have a Thanksgiving or Christmas without it.

No-Bake Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2002
This recipe was OK, but needed didn't come out as well as I had hoped. The granola was crumbly and could have used nuts. I will probably make it again, but will try modifying the recipe a bit.

Chocolate Cheesecake IV

Just a little too rich for my family's taste. If you make this, I highly suggest cutting the pieces VERY small.
