Me and The Mr.
About this Cook
Until recently, I have been a full time Veterinary Nurse and single. Although I enjoyed cooking, I was not one to come home from a long day at work to make myself a large meal. Nine months ago I married the Love of my Life, and his employer moved us to Europe. Now a full time house wife, my largest challenge is coming up with creative, dee-lish dinners for my health conscious husband. Recipes that include simple ingredients that I can find locally. This web sight has been my Saving Grace!
My favorite things to cook
I'll attempt to cook anything. I'm not much of a baker, which is a good thing because sweets and deserts are my weakness in life!
My cooking triumphs
I love to eat, so if it tastes good in the end, it was well worth the time invested, and therefore a "triumph" in my opinion.
My cooking tragedies
I'm sure there have been many...why dwell on the negatives though?

Italian Dressing Mix
I made this as a dressing for pasta salad. It was really good! I omitted the sugar, used garlic powder in place of garlic salt, and cut the regular salt down to 1/3 the original amount. I then mixed the seasonings with white wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. Much tastier and healthier than bottled!

Avocado Salsa
This is delicious! I made it as a snack with tortilla chips for movie night. The leftovers actually kept well in the fridge overnight, so I used the remainder in grilled chicken wraps the next day.
