Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches
I rarely make corned beef because they usually turn out tough or stringy, but a local store had brisket on sale for 50% off, so I decided to try one more time to cook one. After making this recipe, I sent my husband to buy 3-4 more before the sale ends! The meat was tender and delicious! I used a bottle of Guinness Extra Stout and poured the spice pack into a cheesecloth bag and added them to the crock pot with the brisket. I also roasted the whole bulb of garlic in the oven for approximately 30 mins before adding it to the crock pot and cooking it all for about 10 hours on Low. We loved the meat on ruebens last night and I'm sure we will love the hash I make with the leftover brisket in the morning! Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe and restoring my faith in brisket made at home!

Caramel Pie
I have made this pie several times and its always been sinfully delicious! Be sure to whisk caramel well before pouring into crust. I've used both a graham and a pastry crust, hubby prefers graham cracker crust. I usually top with homemade whipped cream and either chopped pecans or toffee bits. It is very rich tho, so a thin slice will do ya. I use this method for most recipes calling for caramel and have never been disappointed.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops
This marinade is delicious and sooo easy!!I tripled ingredients to make marinade for 6 1-inch boneless chops, subbing teriyaki sauce for soy. Mixed marinade in large ziploc, added chops, and threw in fridge about 4 hrs. I poured all into foil-lined baking dish with quartered onion and baked for 20 mins, covered. I then poured off excess liquid, and spooned double batch of sauce on flip side. Baked, uncovered, 15 mins more. I served them with garlic mashed potatoes and creamed peas! Hubby and kids say this one is "for sure a keeper"
