About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Ricotta cheese stuffed italian dishes! Manicotti is my favorite :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Banquet frozen dinners or a store bought pasta sauce with fresh pasta. Needless to say, i'm starting from scratch!
My cooking triumphs
I made my first cheesecake for Thanksgiving 2010 and it was a Pumpkin Cheesecake at that...it was absolutely delicious!!!
My cooking tragedies
I attempted to make a red velvet cheesecake for Christmas 2010...the store was out of red food coloring so i went with green. I didn't cook the cheesecake long enough so the middle was mush and when we all ate it our mouths were green...it won't be my last attempt!!!

Cranberry Orange Oat Cookies
These cookies were delicious!!! I added a bit more cranberries and they came out amazing. I made the full batch (baked them for 11 minutes...probably should have done 15 minutes) but they still tasted delicious. My husband and I aren't too big on super sweet cookies so these were perfet, i took them to my husbands Fire Station while he was on shift at around 8pm, at 6am there were only 3 left, they just couldn't stop eating them!!!

General Tao Chicken
I tried this recipe last night, we followed the recipe just as it said with the exception of cutting the ginger back to one tablespoon and adding chili sauce (my fiance and I like heat). We added brocolli and pour it all over white rice to make it a full meal. The recipe tasted good, but nothing like the take out we get from all of the places around here. It had more of a peanut taste to it than anything. I give it three stars because it tasted nothing like the General Tao chicken, but was still delicious.
