*This gets an extra star! Yum, Yum! This was the best roasted chicken I had ever eaten. I used a packet of Lipton Garlic Soup mix inside and out, plus quartered an onion- leaving the skin on- and stuffed it into the cavity. We had someplace to go the next day after placing it in the oven so I turned the oven down a couple of hours early. No matter. The heavenly smell that greeted us at the door reassured me! I prepared the rest of my meal while it "rested" and frequently spooned the juices over the top of the crackly brown, well-seasoned skin. I sure got the kudos on this one! This is THE only way to do a roasted chicken from here on out!!
