Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
I am the owner of this recipe and have modified it even more for perfection every time: 3/4 cup butter 1/4 cup shortening 1-1/2 cups white sugar 6 Tbsp GRADE B maple syrup (it's worth it!) 2 Large Eggs 3 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Baking Soda 2 tsp Cinnamon 3 cups Flour (less if too dry, more if too sticky) 1/2 cup Maple Sugar (or cinnamon sugar or a combination of both, which is what I use) This recipe doubles beautifully! Don't overbake!

Slow-Cooked Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This was an excellent recipe. Very tasty and tender. I did add a small can of tomato paste as one other reviewer suggested and I highly recommend this! Used cayenne pepper and paprika since I didn't have any chili seasoning. Fantastic served over dumplings!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
These were good, but not great. They were way too sweet. I added 1/2 cup more flour to ensure they did not flatten and that worked well. I would like to try again with less sugar and see how they come out. Also need more baking soda and salt. I did like being able to use so much dough in one cookie--makes the task much quicker!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
I used only one pkg of vanilla pudding and it was plenty. Gave the cookies good flavor, which I usually try doing with vanilla bean and vanilla extract, but it made the cookie a little more cakey than I'd like. I am now on a mission to find another ingredient that will flavor the cookie dough a bit more without the cakiness. I've tried maple syrup (no) and butternut extract (pretty good). I'm still searching, though...

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2008
The perfect brownie--chocolatey, fudge-like and chewy. The frosting gives it that extra yummy crunchy top. My husband and son were crazy about these. I hate boxed brownies but was still searching for that perfect brownie recipe--this is it!
