About this Cook
I always wanted to be a good cook but never knew how or felt like I had the time. Then my daughter was diagnosed with a life threatening food allergy to milk protein. I cook 100% of her meals and don't want her to miss out on anything due to her allergy. So, I have taught myself to cook and done a lot of experimenting with milk free alternatives. Now I love to cook and get requests from family and friends.
My favorite things to cook
I love breads and baking sweets.

Ranch Dressing II
I make this all the time and it's wonderful! I always have people asking me for the recipe. I was looking for a homemade version because my daughter is allergic to milk so we can't use store bought. Well, we will never use store bought again(even if my daughter outgrows her allergy)! Made as is, is great, but I normally substitute seasoned salt for salt and also add cayenne pepper to taste. I also like using fresh ground peppercorns for the pepper.

I've been making this for over a year now and I love it. Everytime I make it for a party someone is asking me for the recipe! Recently I have started using seasoned salt, even better!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
This is a wonderful and easy way to make pulled pork that people will love. I have always used a can of coke, cook it all day on low in the slow cooker, shred and then I make my own BBQ sauce. If you like a sweet sauce there is a honey BBQ sauce recipe on this site, which I always use and get rave reviews.
