Spicy PBJ Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2014
Made this after I viewed the recipe and reviews, but didn't have wings so adapted for a whole chicken cut into parts by half, used legs, wings, some breast parts and (gizzard, lol) as I was only preparing for two so adapted recipe accordingly, our tastes found it a iittle salty but understand need salt to give it that uumph, next time will add all spice but cut down on kosher salt, as usual, Chef John, you have the touch, Bravo, only rating 4.5 stars because of the salty taste :)

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
Wow this was great, followed this recipe, however just love bacon, so while potatoes, celery and onion were boiling in (my homemade chicken broth) I cut up 1/2 pound bacon and cooked until crisp then drained out bacon renderings (instead of butter) and mixed with the flour and pepper to make the rue and then added more chicken broth and half and half. It turned out exceptional and served with homemade wholegrain croutons. Thanks, this recipe is awesome, will definately intend to make over and over again. Yes it was our St. Patty's Day treat!

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
Tried this for supper tonight, turned out well, i followed what others did that is is seared chops and put into a cassarole dish and finished in the oven for 1/2 an hour, but next time I will increase the heat a touch, hubby commented that he liked the flavours a lot, can hardly wait to reheat tomorrow and try over some oven baked potato fries and make a poutine type supper. Thanks for this tasty dish, will add to my regular favorites!

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
This recipe is wonderful, I have made twice now and found the meat content too much for my taste but to each their own. I mixed all ingredients in my blender and this worked great when pouring into each little "pie". I used baking cups lined with pie dough, and yes sprayed my muffin pan with Pam. My family devoured! Thanks for the recipe, this will be in the favourites rotation!

Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Have now made this 3 times over the last 7 days every time I make it gets better! I found that to get a nice rosy appearance you must use a red bell pepper, out of the 12 jalapeno peppers, I used 2 larger ones without seeding or deveining them. I simmered for 13 minutes and yielded 12 oz after straining. Like other reviewers I added 2 tbsp butter before adding liquid pectin and shook jars to evenly distribute chopped jalapeno prior to hot water bath. Had no problems jelling. WOW! Thanks for this recipe, I now have a new favourite jelly!
