It was fair but I have much better sauces and marinades for shrimp and scallops. Thanks for posting though - it will definately suit some better.

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
I marinated the chicken for 24 hours and the flavors were really good. I didn't make my own tazatzki sauce (sorry too much work for me) but I did find a nice one in the store.

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
YUM! Hubby who not a huge seafood or Italian food fan really liked this one. It was simple to make but had a lot more flavor than I would have expected.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
Good Flavor. I was a little confused using sliced potatoes but in the end it worked OK, I did let it simmer quite a while before eating which made the potatoes not really sliced so much anymore but the taste was good.

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
I have tried these with both burger and ground turkey and both are pretty good as far as the flavor goes. I don't cook in the microwave so I put mine in a baking dish and put in the oven for a while. The prep is a bit much for me as I don't really have that kind of time just for a burrito - not sure if I'll be making again.

Buffalo Chicken Wing Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
YUM!!! I cooked the chicken then shredded it and cooked it with celery and the hot sauce butter mixture. I also only used 4 cups of milk but left everything else the same. Leftovers were even better.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
This had a good flavor but I need to find the right cut of meat to really make it work well. I may hvae to try a more tender cut as that's what we are used to.

Spicy Garlic and Pepper Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
We loved the flavor although I added way too much red pepper because I was making more than one serving. Even with the added hot, it was really good.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
I tried without the topping because of all the comments and the muffins were good. I did need a little more sweet to them so I will make again and add some topping.

Portuguese Sweet Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Yummy. I was afraid it would not be sweet enough so I took suggestions of adding 1 egg yolk and using 1/2 cup of suger and it came out amazing. I started it in the bread machine and I do not have a sweet bread setting so I just used the dough setting and once done I took out and put in a round cake pan since real Portuguese sweet bread is made that way. I was a bit nervous as it was quite sticky but I resisted the urge to throw in more flour and am glad I did not give in. I let it sit and rise for 30 more minutes and then baked at 350 for 25 minutes. It is just right in the middle. This is really good and easy for a home made version.

Lasagna Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
Good alternative to full blown lasagna. The only thing I did different was to add some of the meat mixture (i made a little more than called for) within each rollup. Made it a little messy to roll but I think worth it.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
I liked this bread but I have to try it again because I messed up and I think it would be better the next time. First of all I wanted to cut the recipe in half as it is only hubby and I and even with freezing, two loaves is too much. So I carefully measured all my dry ingredients and put them aside, I then measured the liquids into the machine, add my dries and pressed dough. Thankfully I looked at it a few minutes later and realized that OOOPs...I used the full amount of liquids. OK, just add another half of all the dries, turn back on, problem solved (I think). It seemed to recover well and made a decent dough. I formed my loaves and they rose well but either washing or splitting them cause them to fall. We did like the taste and all and think it would be slightly better if they had stayed risen so I will try again.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
For me this was too much work for a result that was just OK. I also was not a fan of the cream cheese in the glaze. I used less than listed and it was still all I could taste. I hate to say but I will buy the can version still.

Good but we tasted too much soy. We will cut back on soy anduse the priginal amount of heat. We cut back based on others comments but it was too mild for us.

not so good for us. I have never tried buffalo chicken pizza and hubby wanted to try it but I feel it is too much like drinking hot sauce. Sorry but just not to our liking.
