French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2012
They were fabulous and so easy to make. The only thing I may do differently next time is add some sesame seeds on top and perhaps make a loaf instead of rolls. This is a keeper.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
This was a hit in our house. My only mistake was making 6 servings instead of 10! I followed the spicing exactly but added the following 1 TB yellow mustard, 1 teas worcheshire sauce, 1/2 teas garlic powder. I also subbed crushed tomatoes for the tomato sauce as we like a thicker chili. This one is a keeper.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
These were really good. I wish I had listed to other reviews and not added the salt until later as they were a little tough - but I will know for next time. The flavor was great without the calories. I think I will add a little more jalapeno and some sour cream next time but this is definitely a keeper.

Who doesn't love deviled eggs? I did not have fresh dill so I subbed dill pickle juice from the jar. Delish!

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
This was super easy and soooo good. My hubby almost licked the plate clean! Like a couple of users I popped it in the oven for about 10 min. to finish it. I put some bread in our panini maker and then cut them in strips for dipping. Perfect for a potluck or a late night snack that does not require a lot of work.

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
This was delicious! The cutting of the onion was a bit tricky and I don't think I separated the petals enough but the batter was awesome! I did not have mayo or horseradish so I subbed sour cream for the mayo and hot sauce and worcestshire for the horseradish. It tasted just like the restaurant! We will make this again.

Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2013
My family could not get enough of this! 2 things though, I think this would be better with thicker texas cut bread and I think the egg mixture could be reduced by half as I had a lot left over. I followed the recipe exactly and it is a keeper!

These are the best! I followed the recipe exactly the only change for me would be to mix less of the topping as I had some left over. Otherwise they were perfect and the family loved them. Delicious with morning coffee!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
We made these for Superbowl Sunday...they were fantastic and really easy. I rinsed the wings with lemon and let it soak for about five minutes before coating with flour to help tenderize the meat. Followed the recipe to a T. Yum!

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
I loved this the batter/breading was the perfect amount. I did as others suggested and used two bowls with lids to reduce the mess. I used a mix of panko and italian bread crumbs. Delish...better deep fried than baked though...I sprinkled with salt after they were cooked.

Sara's Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
So easy and very versatile! Don't want vanilla..just add chocolate and you have an iced mocha. I topped mine with whipped cream and cinnamon. Melting the sugar in the water is not necessary if the coffee is still hot. What a delicious and easy way to use that leftover coffee! Thanks for sharing.

No Fail Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
I followed the recipe except for the lemon extract an this came out really good...I love the fact it started out as your typical box cake. I topped mine withe powdered sugar and cinnamon. I used baking spray and it was done in just under 1 hr. Next time I think I will use the butter cake mix as others had suggested and double the vanilla. The family loved it!

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
I did this on the stovetop and used beef stew meat instead of pot roast. I also did not use frozen veggies. This was simple, delicious, warm and filling to serve on a cool day. I served it with warm bread. We will make this again.
