About this Cook
I am married with two kids ages 4 and 6. I would love to cook more but working full time you are always juggling something...This website has been fantastic!
My favorite things to cook
Our family is a melting pot! We have some italian, greek, spanish, and middle eastern. Every new member to our family brings their family recipes too! Luckily they are all delicious!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday family dinner was always a big.one. We are a little to big and scattered now to have the entire family..but we still have sunday dinner in each of our families. We usually had homemade spaghetti, or chicken and dumplings with all the fixings...yum.
My cooking triumphs
I can make homemade chicken and dumplings as good as my.grandma, from scratch without bisquick (yuck) or biscuit dough.
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at a roasted chicken was a disaster! Not enough salt, and the dark meat was not.done.

Cinnamon Griddle Cakes
These were yummy. The kids loved them. The only thing I changed was the glaze...4TB butter melted butter mixed with 2 oz cream cheese, 1/2 teas vanilla & 3/4c powdered suger. Mmmmmm.

Real Hummus
A good starter recipe. I did the following adjustments. I did not add any salt or pepper, used 2 cloves of garlic, a half of a jalapeno seeded, and used 2 heaping TB of tahini. I did not add olive oil. I also squeezed juice of 1/2 of a lemon. garnished with sumac, and slivered almonds sauteed in olive oil, and fresh cucumbers and tomatoes.

Strawberry Cheesecake Bites
These were awesome! To cut calories I used Equal instead of sugar and low fat cream cheese. I crushed cinnamon graham crackers instead if plain ones. Next time I will dip in chocolate...Yummm!
