Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2004
I make this for my stepfather, as peanut brittle is his favorite candy. He says it's the best he's ever had and believe me, he's eaten a lot. It is super easy to make. One bowl, one pan. Clean up is a snap as well, as long as you soak the bowl a bit in hot water.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2004
This was great! Fast, easy, delicous...a combination that is hard to beat. I didn't even pound the chicken like I usually do and it was so tender!! Also, I used a cast iron grill on my stove top. It was a huge hit with the whole family.

Blue Cheese Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2004
I loved this!! I added some blue cheese dressing as other reviews suggested. It was outstanding. However, you have to be a blue cheese lover....my boyfriend is just getting to where he will eat a little blue cheese dressing. I had him try this and he didn't like it.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2004
This is wonderful! And very, very easy which makes a real winner for me. I changed it only slightly, more mustard and a little less sugar, just for my personal tastes. I also added onion. This is my new favorite meatloaf recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2004
Excellent!! I love this dip. It is hot but not too hot. Serve with cold beer! Note: I tried this again with blue cheese dressing instead of ranch and cheddar cheese and the results were fantastic!! Not to mention even easier.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs (Suan T'ien Niu Jou Po Lo La Tzu)

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
I loved the sauce and vegetables. I did not care for the meatballs at all however. They had a strange texture (from a lack of bread crumbs or oatmeal is what I think) and little taste. I would make this again but with a different meatball recipe. Also, I had never tried frying meatballs before, had previously only baked them, but wanted to give it a try. I think baking is much, much easier.

Sweet Onion Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
This was wonderful!! Not for everyone though. I had a lot of people who were kind of afraid to try it but those who did absolutely raved about it. It needs to sit a while before cutting for the best results.

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2003
I gave this in Christmas bags with other goodies and it was the biggest hit. People raved about them! I couldn't stop eating them either. Almonds can be pricey, especially around the holidays, but you catch a good sale, they freeze well.

American Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2003
Great recipe!! I made some substitutions...wanted to use up some things in the frig. I added fresh carrots and celery to the saute, then used cream of mushroom soup. Topped off with some garlic pesto cheese. I loved it!

Wisconsin Cheese Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2002
This is absolutely the best cheese soup recipe I have ever tried. It is incredibly good by itself but especially good with a crusty bread. I have made it with celery instead of broccoli and if anything, it's better. My whole family raves about this.

Cheddar Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2002
I probably did something wrong (a little too much water or too warm maybe?) but mine flopped. The middle caved in, it was way too crumbly and I was not crazy about the taste.

Wonderful bread and so easy. I tried it buttered and cooked in a fry pan as another reviewer suggested. Then I drizzled honey on it and it was simply incredible.
