About this Cook
I have traveled and live from the United States to the other side of the world. I love cooking, it relaxes me, unless you are having a party (lol). When I cook I feel as if I am creating an edible art piece, which makes me glad because sometimes I feel that I am the only one in the family that has not a stitch or artist in his blood. I am glad of my travels as they changed my view of food and combinations of flavors. I have learned that there is a big difference when you just cook as to when you create with love. Big fan of the movies “Like Water for Chocolate” and “Eat Drink Man Woman”. My second vice is movies as you can tell. Mmmm dinner and a movies, not a bad combination huh? And for all those that read this, I wish knowledge, wisdom and prosperity, I find it lacking nowadays.
My favorite things to cook
As for my favorite things to cook, there are two. I like making Italian dinners, it is not difficult to do and the food seems to always come out delicious and even more so the next day. My second favorite thing to cook are desserts. I have not narrowed it down to any specific catagory yet but I like to settle the craving of my sweet tooth with home cooking as opposed to buying chocolates or cookies at the store.
My favorite family cooking traditions
While we use to have traditions, they are long gone, back in time when dinners were an event and letter writing an art. But I do hope to perfect some recipes and create some traditions of my own, hopefully have a family one day to pass it on too.
My cooking triumphs
I can't really say I have had a triumph yet, but I can say the for now the triumph is in the variety of meals I can make from Asian to Mexican to American. I have learn some unreal combinations of food that work out great. However I must say that I am still waiting on that triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I will never forget this girl. Her name was Lisa Harrel and to this day I still think of her. I wanted to impress her parents and cooking is what I now and have always done well. But I didn't just want to cook for them, I wanted to create something original. . . . something unique. What came to mind? A pie. I have had alot of luck cooking with pies and with liquers and though a banana rum pie sounded good. Needless to say, the combination was awful, the pie came out like mush and I was devastated. I do not see Lisa anymore and I would love to blame it on that pie. Live and learn.

Best Lemonade Ever
It´s drinkable but way too sweet and waaaaayyyy to strong. Instead of getting rid of your thirst it makes you more thirsty.

Slow Cooker Vegetable Chili
I really enjoyed this easy and delicious recipe. My mother is a very picky eater loved it. Meatless chili, thank you so very much for this.

Texas New Mexico Chili
This recipe had way too much chicken broth. I used the juice of two potatoes to thicken the chili. I think the chicken broth took away flavor of the chili. The finished product is not bad, but I think chili should have more of a meaty flavor and a little more spice, while at the same time less cumin. Again, this is not bad, it´s just not a real chili flavor in my opinion.
