So, let me tell you about the name first: Born and raised in "Franken", ( Franconia ), and my Mentor during Cullinary School was Rudi Stein.Thus my name on here. Ok, done many things in my life, incl. the military in both Countries, and the one thing that has never changed, is my love of cooking, and trying out and experimenting with recipes from around the world.
My favorite things to cook
Most of the time my "favorites" depend on, what kind of "kick" I am on. Among some of my favorites tho.... Coque au vin, Cajun Gumbo, Spaghetti Sauce from scratch, the list goes on. Tried more than a few, and "tweaked' some recipes off this site, and enjoy reading and trying recipes, giving reviews, as time permits:)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking and bbqing for the holidays for family and friends. Sausage-making, and smoking. Seafood any way I can think of. Tinkering in the kitchen, coming up with new ideas on making peoples tastebuds celebrate 4th of July.
My cooking triumphs
There is this Coq au vin, that my friend, who was married to a french man, says it's as good, or better then what she used to make:) My own creation of the above, "blanch", among some others.
