Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Phenomenal! AMAZING and super wonderful. Let the meat rest out of the refrigerator (seasoned with the salt and pepper) for at least 30 minutes. Do not overcook. To test filet for doneness do not cut into it...do a touch test with your finger. It should yield gently to the touch for medium rare steak which is the preferred way to serve filet mignon. I served these with mashed potatoes, crusty sourdough bread (to sop up this DELICIOUS glaze) and a green salad.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2010
This was so good! I doubled the marinade and added a couple extra crushed garlic cloves to the marinade. While the marinade was simmering my 10 year old shouted "it smells sooo good!" My 18 year old said it was the best chicken he has ever had. My husband said he could eat it everyday. We had it with rice and steamed broccoli. BIG HIT :)

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
It didn't even taste like broccoli OR cheese. It tasted like chicken broth with garlic powder in it. The reviewers who rate this highly must NOT have ever had a great broccoli cheese soup. I personally have and will never make this again. I am in hot pursuit of a good recipe.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
These were not good at all. We love sweets and find most recipes that have been rated high on allrecipes end up very good. I took the submitter's advice and took the cupcakes out before they looked done (they were just a bit wet on top but were cooked the entire recommended time). For all of the work it wasn't worth it to me. Even though I froze the cookie dough it did bake inside the cupcake and became too dry. The cupcake itself was too wet and mushy in parts and a couple even fell. I would not make this again.

Wow! Made this recipe as written except used lemon lime soda instead of mountain dew. My Georgia raised man LOVED it...couldn't believe it was crescent rolls! Wouldn't change a thing.

Super Scrambled Eggs Number One

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
This recipe was just not right for me. I followed it exactly but ended up with a soupy mess. Because the cheese was added before cooking, the oil in the cheese separated and I ended up having to drain the eggs before serving. The bacon lost its crispness as well because it was cooked with the eggs. The flavor however was very good. I will make this again but just cook the eggs with milk and onion first until they are done. Then I will stir in the cheese and bacon until the cheese melts. This was the bacon will stay crisp and the oil will not have time to separate from the cheese.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
I love this recipe! My man is from Ga and misses his sweet tea. This did the trick and thinks it is the BEST tea he has had. I double the recipe using 4 family sized tea bags and only add 10 cups of water after the 1 1/2 cups of sugar dissolves. He says its the BEST sweet tea ever.

My husband ate them for dinner, lunch the next day, and dinner...basically he ate and ate until they were gone! Amazing recipe. Skipped the water and used 1/2 the tomato sauce. Used the 10 minute enchilda sauce from this site. Perfect. Kids loved them too!

Blue Cheese Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
WOW! What a GREAT recipe! We paired this with "Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks" from this site. The whole family gobbled them up. I doubled everything in the recipe except I used 6 oz of blue cheese crumbles. I also used 8 new (red) potatoes instead of baking potatoes. It took about 30 minutes for the potatoes to cook. A new favorite indeed!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

This was awesome! I also added about 4 oz of crumbled feta and some mandarin oranges. Other than that I stuck to the recipe. IT WAS SO GOOD! My teenagers, my 8 year old and my man loved it and had seconds. A nice refreshing salad. I paired it with the "Luscious Chicken Pot Pie" and the "Best Brownies" from this site. What a hit! Thanks!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
Very tender...but also very bland. If you want to make it better use white cheddar cheezits and skip the garlic salt. This will add so much flavor. The butter is excessive even for a butter lover like me! Use half the amount and it will come out just as nice.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
I WON! I just won our school's Chili Cookoff with this recipe! If you are looking for a winner than this is it. It is superb! The only thing I changed was that I substituted spicy Italian sausage instead of plain Italian sausage. Also instead of bacon BITS I bought real crumbled bacon and used 1 T which is what the recipe calls for. The key to success (other than the amazing recipe) I believe, is in how long the chili is cooking. I cooked it on the stove on low for 2.5 hours and then switched it to a crock pot for about 6 hours - that really made the veggies get nice and tender and made the flavor wonderful. Thanks for the recipe! :)

Luscious Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2005
Very good. My husband and 4 kids love this. I also sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic and onion and used one can of Cream of Chicken and one can of Cream of Potato soup. I also only use 3 small cans of mixed peas and carrots...it is stuffed otherwise. To make this even easier you can buy cooked chicken in a package. Simple and yummy! Thanks for the recipe Michael
