About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My favorite meal is Roast Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Asparagus and Whole Wheat Rolls. My families favorite thing for me to cook currently is Shrimp and Grits. Baking is probably my strongest suite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making jam w/ friends-we call it a "Jam Session"(I know, bad pun). Baking Christmas cookies and making candy w/ my daughter.
My cooking triumphs
Finally making a multi-layer carrot cake that didn't fall apart. Mastering ribs. Putting meals together in 30 - 45 min. that didn't come out of a box.
My cooking tragedies
Meatballs-they turn out looking like lumps and taste like meatloaf. Gravy-packaged mixes are my friend. Wallpaper paste is better than my gravy.

MMMMM... Brownies
A very good easy to make brownie. I doubled the recipe to make a 9 x 13 pan and added 1 cup of peanut butter chips. For those complaining that the recipe is too salty, either cut the amount in half or eliminate it all together and problem solved.

Absolutely the BEST Rich and Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing Ever!
This recipes title is not an exaggeration. After trying this recipe I have vowed to NEVER but premade Blue Cheese Dressing again. I did make a few minor adjustments: 1) Doubled the amount of sugar 2) Used red wine vinegar instead of white 3) Added 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley.

Fruit Pizza
Simple, fast, versatile and delicious. This was an instant favorite amongst family and friends. If you found the recipe a little too sweet(as I did) try cutting back on the amount of marshmallow creme by half, use a couple of extra tablespoons of cream cheese to make up for the difference in volume. This recipe should also be eaten the same day it's prepared, otherwise the sugars in the topping will cause the fruit to macerate making for a soupy mess. Great recipe
