Cranberry Orange Cookies

I used Craisins for the recipe since I had no fresh cranberries to use and to be honest I didn't even think about it! I used 1 cup Craisins and added 1 tsp of orange extract to the recipe. I'm sure the recipe would be delicious as written but I like really "orangy" cookies. Other than that I made no changes and they were perfect. I didn't add the icing to the cookies. I tasted one and just felt they were perfect as is.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

There's no way that this recipe the way that it is written is what is in the picture on the cupcakes. It's a icing. Not a frosting. You're definitely not going to be piping this one out of your pastry bag. I'm giving it a "1 star" not because of taste, it tastes good, but because it is poorly represented.

Vegetarian Korma

This is sooooo simple and delicious! I opted out of the heavy cream and replaced it with 2% milk. It does make a difference. If you want a great creamy korma keep the cream or even half and half works and is barely noticeable. I make this at least once a month, usually 3 or 4 times per month! I serve it with mango chutney and Kabli Naan which is naan stuffed with coconut and cherries.... yummmmm!

Classic Macaroni Salad

Added some celery seed to this. This is a really good base recipe. You can do a lot with it. You could add red pepper, celery seed, eggs, etc.

Cranberry Orange Loaf

This is very good, way better than Panera Bread's version of this bread. Wrap it and let it set overnight for the best flavor and texture. It gets moister and the orange flavor really comes out. I used dried cranberries (couldn't find anything else). I poured hot water over them and let them set for 10 minutes or so and then drained them. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing Carol!

Nanny's Spaghetti Sauce

This sauce did not work out well for me at all. It was incredibly bitter and tasted strong of vinegar. I think using red wine would have been a better bet for me. Skip or reduce the vinegar if you don't really care much for a vinegar after taste.

These are super good! I just got done baking a double batch and swear I ate the whole first batch. A few tips I'd like to contribute after reading other reviewers problems: 1. Definitely chill this dough and roll on a lightly floured surface. I would imagine a marble cutting block would be ideal. I used a Wilton Roll & Cut mat for fondant; worked perfectly. 2. Roll your circle to about 8". Then put your nut/ raisin / cinnamon / sugar combo on the dough. Cover with a papertowel and finish rolling to 9 inches. This worked perfectly for me. I didn't get very much mixture spilling out after rolling it into the dough. Careful though... you don't want to roll so hard that the mixture pokes through the front of the dough!

Peanut Butter Cookies IX

This is a really good cookie. I cooked these on parchment paper and reduced the temp to 350 because my cookies were getting a little too brown. After trying some dropped, I rolled them into balls and flattened with a fork to give them a little bit or a "peanut butter cookie" look. They look nice like that. I reduced the sugars to 1/2 each and they were perfect! I also used peanut butter chips in them. Yummm! Thanks for sharing Ruggles!

Salt Rising Bread

My father has Alzheimer's and he was asking for this over and over again. Thank you for helping me find what he was looking for! He LOVED it, and I didn't think it was horrible to make. It was actually a nice challenge and I kind of became obsessed with it ;) It is delicious toasted with butter! Again, thanks!

Pumpkin Casserole

I'd give this one 6 stars if I could! This is definitely a holiday staple for our family now. It's creamy, delicious, sweet, almost like pumpkin pie without the crust. It goes great with chicken or turkey! Thanks for sharing this beauty. I'm replacing my holiday yams with this! It's way better!
