Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
Excellent! I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 olive oil to cut a little saturated fat out. I also doubled the rosemary. I steamed some asparagus for about 5 mins as a side dish, then sauteed it in the left over pan sauce for a minute for extra flavor.

Kung Pao Chicken

I didn't have any chili paste, so i used red pepper flake instead.... Came out a little too spicy that way. Next time I think I'll double or triple the sauce and marinate the chicken longer.

Chicken Potpie

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
FABULOUS!!! I didn't have any corn, so I added celery instead and a generous dash of garlic powder. Instead of baking it in a pie shell, I poured the mixture into a 13x9 inch glass dish, topped it with cornbread batter and baked it for 30 minutes.... So yummy!!!

Saffron Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
Great recipe. Who'd have thought it would be so easy? I used oil and a touch of salt instead of butter. Next time I'm going to use half as much oil since mine came out a little too oily. DELICIOUS, though!

Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
So easy!! It's like an apple pie with no crust. I left the peels on my apples for added texture and garnished with whipped cream. Yum!

Very good! I added just a tad more soy sauce and about a cup of frozen peas and carrots.

Thai-style Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Excellent! This reminds me of a cucumber salad I used to order at a sushi joint near my old house, only with a lot more zing to it!

Not bad at all... I used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil and added some garlic. We loved it!

FANTASTIC!!! I used half mayo and half sour cream because I'm not a big mayonnaise fan and it was wonderful!

Thai Chicken Curry in Coconut Milk

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
This was awful! I had to dump the sauce down the sink and perform emergency surgery when I tasted it! Luckily I know how to make good ol' fashioned Japanese curry and I was able to salvage the meat and veggies. Ugh! Horrid!
