Hershey's ® 'Perfectly Chocolate' Chocolate Cake

I have attempted this recipe 3 times; each time the layers resembled fudge. My measurements were exact and I followed the instructions to the letter. When approaching the third attempt I even did some research with regard to measuring, mixing, pan size, oven temperature, etc. I give it a 1 for now. I will try again, given all other reviews. Any suggestions from other readers would be appreciated. (p.s. - I am an avid baker: yeast bread (no machine here!), muffins, quick brads, biscuits,you name it, I bake it!)

Patriotic Poke Cake

I made this for an office 'Patriotic Luncheon'. Nothing special about the flavor of the cake. It is a very moist cake. A little too sweet for me. I definitely would recommend using another type of icing (or a more substantial whipped cream icing) as the top layer slides very easily.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

My husband and I really enjoyed this soup. We agree it could us a bit more beans and veggies. We will follow other reviews recommendations for 'boosting' the soup. We added a dollop of sour cream for a little more richness and thickness.

Quick and Easy Monkey Bread

The bread is good but would have preferred a more "sticky bun" like product. The pudding and sugar mixture turned out more like a filling, nothing like a caramel glaze. I am going to try using more butter the next time.
