Best Tuna Casserole

I give the recipe as is three stars. The first time I made it, it wasn't that great. But with some changes it made it up to five! Instead of cooking the noodles to al dente, I cooked them until they were tender. I used three cans of cream of mushroom soup as well, which really helped a lot. I also added in half of a normal sized block of cream cheese. That REALLY kicked the flavor up a lot and took it to a whole other level. I also cooked the onion so that it was tender instead of crunchy. Now what I did was I mixed the cream mixture up and heated it before mixing it in with the noodles. I reduced the cooking temp to 350 instead of 425. The result is that the casserole came out delicious and creamy.

Turkey Goulash

The recipe itself is a good base, but I found that it was FAR too bland as it is. Here are the changes that I made. I used 2 tablespoons of fresh basil instead of dried. Two 15oz cans of tomato sauce instead of one cup. About a tablespoon of chili powder and a tablespoon of ground chipotle powder. Five cloves of garlic instead of 3. And one onion and a green pepper. I also used carved turkey breast instead of ground turkey. It turned out delicious!

Chocolate Kiss Cookies

These were excellent and fun to make with my best friend's 5 year old son. I followed the recipe exactly to the letter. I had made some others and didn't allow the dough to chill and had a rough time with it. This year, using this recipe, it was much easier! I like that the dough isn't too sweet, allowing the chocolate kiss to give almost all of the sweetness to the cookie. I also left the nuts out for one batch and they came out just as good.

Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

I have made this recipe twice now. The five stars are for the original recipe which I followed to a T the first time I made it. It was delicious as it was, but I did switch the swiss cheese monteray jack as we prefer it. I will be making it again for thanksgiving and I will keep to the original recipe since my best friend that is coming loves swiss cheese. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!
