This recipe is awesome! I didn't even use an onion, just the powder and used ricotta cheese...because I love the stuff! This is an easy, great tasting recipe, sure to please everyone!! Thanks so much for sharing! Next time I will try the cottage cheese (not low fat, but the real deal)!!

Mac and Cheese II

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
This was a huge hit! The only thing I added was a tsp of onion powder, worcestershire sauce, and 1/4 tsp of black pepper. If you did not add these spices, it would still turn out great the way it's stated...I just wanted a little kick!

Habanero Salsa

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2014
My husband made this! It was amazing! It was similar in taste to "On the Border" salsa... but much better...and fresh! He went exactly by the recipe...the only deviation is that he used freeze dried garlic instead of fresh...because that's what I had on hand!

Oven Baked Chicken Teriyaki

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
This was fabulous! I did not have minced garlic, fresh ginger or mirin on hand! I used ground ginger and used garlic powder on chicken breasts front to back. Instead of Mirin took the advice of the first reviewer Pro "LatinaCook" who gave suggestions for substitutions...I used cooking white wine. I did use low -sodium soy sauce as well. It had the perfect balance of salt and sweetness! I also used the Fried-Rice Restaurant Style recipe and used a cup of frozen mixed veggies and a bag of frozen brown rice, then went by the recipe. I put the chicken on top of this and served and everyone loved it! Thank you Jennifer for posting this delicious recipe!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
Wow, this was great! What an easy meal to put together that tasted delicious! I did do a few things different, just because its a preference. I seasoned chicken, with onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper both sides, and baked it in the oven 325 for 35 minutes ( I have a convection oven, it cooks super fast. Then cubed it up. I added about 2/4 c of whole milk to the soup mixture, just to loosen it up a little, to make spreading easier. I baked it 325 for 30 minutes and it was so delicious! Thank you so much for this recipe!!

Layered Macaroni Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2012
This really is a great recipes! It has always been very well received at my house...and everyone asks for the recipe! I did a few things I thought enhanced the recipe...I cut the sauce with about 1/2 cup to a cup of "pasta water"... the water you use to cook the elbow macaroni in...I use olive oil and a little kosher salt to cook the noodles in and it adds a lot of flavor to the sauce...the sauce is a little thick so this thins it out and gives it great flavor...also I added italian seasoning for a little more zing! I also used truvia instead of sugar!

Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
My husband said this was the best pumpkin cake he has ever tasted! I read all the reviews and added 4 teaspoons of pumpkin seasoning, an extra 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract, 1/2 c of applesauce unsweet, and 3/4 c of oil ( in lieu of the oil the recipe called for), bundt style for 43 minutes (I have a conventional oven). Next time I will follow the advice of the reviewers and make my own cream cheese frosting...I used Betty Crocker Cream Cheese Icing...but man it was still great!!! Thank you for the recipe and all the reviewers for there great input!

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
Wow...finally I made some amazing cookies! I did go (mostly) by the recipe, but I love to gather other peoples comments...it always pays off! I added 1/2 tsp of baking powder, 1 packet of the instant vanilla pudding, an extra heaping tsp of vanilla, cut back to 1/4 c of sugar and 2/4 c of brown sugar (due to the pudding packet)and lastly 1/2 tsp of baking soda! I also hand mixed the flour! I refridgerated the dough 15 minutes. So, thank you to those reviewers who take the time to add in your own talent and experience!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
This recipe is perfect the way it's stated! Just to be on the safe side I did add 1/2 tsp of baking powder. I believe the real key to making these cookies fluffy, is to stir the flour in...the recipe does state this...the first time I made them I did not follow this and they fell flat, but tasted great...second time I made them they turned out like the picture submitted! You can add a packet of instant vanilla pudding and this will assure fluffiness, but the cookies are more cake like...so if you like cookies like that, you might want to add a packet in after you stirred in the flour. I have made tollhouse and Ghirardelli cookies...and this recipe as stated is the BEST!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
This is a great cookie recipe. I did not want to wait...so I just put the cookies in 350 for 10 minutes...they came out perfect! I used salted butter (on hand), I still put in the 1/2 tsp of salt (thats how I make the chocolate chip cookies)and smart balance creamy not chunky (on hand). These cookies were AWESOME!!!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
This is such a great recipe. I use 4oz of Stonyfield any kind of yogurt on hand instead of the sour cream...usually, vanilla, or banana or pumpkin banana, my daughters favorite flavors. I use 2 tsp of baking powder only. I stir everything and use room temperture butter 6 hours plus....I also make sure I mash the bananas really good with a potato masher (like a puree)...this I believe helps it cook evenly and distribute flavor...this comes out AMAZING every time!!!

Spicy Baked Picnic Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
This is a great recipe! The only thing I did different was pre-season the chicken tenders heavily front and back with onion powder, salt (light), little pepper (lightly), and garlic powder...with exception to salt and pepper. I probably went heavier on parm cheese and bread crumbs...that is just what I like. I do this no matter what the recipe calls for, because it always gives that added flavor boost and keeps it from being bland. Thank you Crystal for sharing this recipe, it is different from most breaded chicken recipes, delicious, and easy to make!!

Breaded Parmesan Ranch Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
Wow! This was so good! I went by the recipe. I did take the suggestion of another reviewer and make it 2 cups of cornflakes (prior to crushing). I usually season my chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, next time I will go light on this, because the ranch packet gives it a strong flavor. Even without these changes this was fabulous! I am going to interchange with different seasoning packets...I don't see how you can go wrong! Thanks for posting this recipe!
