Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2002
One of my favorite recipes. Absolutely fabulous. It's amazing how such an incredible nasty smelling cheese (asiago) can taste so heavenly with the proper mix. This recipe has everything down perfect. Definitely worth making, will provide leftovers that lasts for a long time. Highly recommended.

Ganache II

Reviewed: May 25, 2005
I made this ganache for some truffles I did for a friends b-day. I used dark chocolate and followed the recipe to a T with the only addition being a heavy dose of creme de menthe candy flavoring. I then put the ganache in the freezer until it was thick enough to roll into balls and refroze the balls so they were rock hard before dipping them in more dark chocolate to create a shell. I then melted a little green chocolate (available at Michael's stores) and drizzled it over the top. Absolutely Heavenly. Store in the refrigerator, incredibly rich and creamy with a nice mint flavor. To die for...

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Reviewed: May 29, 2005
Great recipe, used beef broth and beef bullion because i was out of chicken and it was just as good as the first time when I used chicken. Double the butter and replace some of the water with half and half and it's even richer... haha

Marinated Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
My father is a wild turkey hunter and I have several wild turkey breasts that I wasn't sure what to do with. This is a great recipe. I marinated the breasts and then cooked them in my rotisserie using a basket. Top Notch, will use this recipe over and over again.

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
It was done in 50 minutes for me, but it was easy to make and tasted great. I used fresh zuchini from the farmers market that was given to me for jumping the merchants car - lol. And most certainly I will make this recipe again.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
I added a full block of cream cheese and cut up a venison roast instead of using beef. It was mighty tasty and I would recommend it for anyone. =Dave

This was good. It was a little rich, but a pleasant change of pace. I would make it again.

Habanero Salsa

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
Very nice. I drained the tomatoes and only used 5 cans instead of 7. It was still a bit runny, but I added some extra cilantro and onions to thicken it up a bit. I also put 3 habernero peppers and 3 smoked jalepeno peppers into it. Seeds included. It had a nice slow burn, but wasn't over the edge. I will definitely make it again, but will puree fewer of the tomatoes and drain off all the juice on every source. SD

Meatloaf With A Bite

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2007
Pretty solid. I used a super spicy habenero salsa and italian bread crumbs. It is not as firm as most meatloafs, but it was plenty tasty...

Buffalo Chicken Wings III

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
I didn't use the wing sauce listed here, as the one I made had simply hot sauce, butter and a mad crazy amount of habernero and jalepeno peppers that I pureed in the blender. Yes... It was ravagingly hot. I was looking for a baked wing recipe and this worked quite nicely in that respect. It's hard to take deep fried wings to someone elses party so the baked wings worked perfectly. I just brought them in a 9X13 dish with saran wrap over the top and dropped them in their oven when I got there. Came out perfect. Will do this again. Thanx

Maple Dill Carrots

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
this recipe rocks. the hardest part is cutting the carrots. I added shelled edimame (soybeans) both times I've made it thus far and it rocks as an addition. I used brown sugar the first time and it was awesome. I ran out of brown sugar and used maple syrup instead the second time and it was awesome. This is a new healthy staple in my diet. Thanx for the recipe SD

Old-Fashioned Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
This was good. The carrots were a twist I wasn't used to. I blender my soups after making them because I like creamy over chunky. Pretty solid recipe, I didn't change much. I added a bit more butter to make it richer because you can never have too much butter. :) I'll try this again for sure.

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
I didn't have any ham so I put in bacon. It was a very filling winter soup. I added extra butter and cream to make it super rich, then pureed it in the blender to make it super creamy. Thats just how I roll. It was really yummy and I will make this again. Maybe tonight. :)

Quick and Easy Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
Easy to make, I used flour tortillas because I hate frying anything in oil. Bake the fish sticks, spread some sour cream on the tortillas and microwave for 20 seconds, add 3 fish sticks, lettuce, salsa, lime juice (cilantro if you have it), and shredded cheese. Quick and fast cure for your fish taco craving. This may become a staple in my regular menu.

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Excellent !! Just a little too much for an 8" X 8" baking dish. I put 2 cups of milk in and topped with shredded cheddar then covered with crumbled town house crackers. Very good, will make this again soon.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

This is the most heavenly dish I have ever made. My father has 30-60 head of sheep at any given time and I always have lamb chops in my freezer. I have made this at least 5 times and absolutely L-O-V-E this recipe exactly as printed.
