Artichoke Dip I

Have made this several times and it is a favorite of kids and adults. Most recently I tried the tip of substituting a can of cream of celery soup for the mayo. Who knew? A big calorie saver without sacrificing taste! I've also added a pinch of cayenne and/or sauteed, chopped red onions for a little kick.

Smothered Filet Mignon

Cincinnati Chili I

I made the mistake of not paying attention to the recipe details..I used two 15-ounce cans of broth instead of the 10.5-ounce cans as specified in the recipe. (Later I checked a few stores...no 10.5-ounce cans!) So the chili came out too soupy and I had to try again. And even though I'm an Ohio girl, I actually prefer the texture of browning the meat first like the recipe suggests.

April's Roasted Red Pepper Cheese Ball

This cheese ball's red and green colors make it perfect for the holidays...I made it for a Christmas Eve party and it was a hit. Use light cream cheese to cut down on the fat.

Amaretto Cheesecake I

This was the first time I've ever made a cheesecake and even though it cracked,everyone loved it and scarfed it down. Next time I'll add a little more amaretto and will also read the cheesecake tips at the end of the directions BEFORE I make the cake instead of after!

Goat Cheese and Arugula over Penne
