Grandma's Coconut Corn Flake Cookies

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
I accidentally added red dye when adding vanilla and made RED cookies! OK ALL cooks make mistakes and I got through this one and these were very fragile with corn chip taste so I would add raisins or chocolate chips, or cinnamon or more vanilla next time . . . and not color them up!

Fish in Foil

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
Easy cleaner way to make any fish preparation; Use any preferred spice . . . i used dill, onion, lemon as tradition. This can be placed into an oven or a grill. . . either way clean up is another chef preparation and any time it is easier it will succeed imho

Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
These were easy and very nice, as the almond extract is perfect. I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 applesauce to reduce oil and it worked out well. I didnt feel a need to add raisins or anything else as the almond extract is enough.

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
I made these without a bread maker easily. They were great and loved the pics taken as well. Caloric content isnt too bad either. I will make them again for sure and reading the other reviews will keep this as the primary scone recipe

Steak Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
This was excellent and I made a few changes. I used 1/2 cup red wine and 1/2 cup soy sauce to use as marianate and to cook with. I also used round steak which is low fat and inexpensive. For vegt used grn and red pepper cut up with one med onion and would have added mushrooms if they had been on hand. Otherwise I followed all spices listed etc. It is a good recipe we used to feed 10 in hot summer vacation but its good any time of the year and healthy. Its a flexible and easy stir fry
