Pumpkin Soup

The second time I made this, I wanted it to be thicker so I reduced the broth to 5 cups, and added a little more pumpkin. My mother simply adored this soup. She is asking for the recipe. Thank you so much for sharing.

Crispy Orange Beef

Earlier today I cooked a plate of fried rice that was way too mushy, so to make it up, I decided to cook a dish that my son would like, and to my relief, this fit the bill. He enjoyed it. I made it with OJ, and that was the only change I did. Thank you for sharing.

Grammie's Sweet Milk Cookies

Even after adding an extra cup of flour, and chilling it in the fridge, I could not get the cut outs to keep its shape while I was transferring it from the countertop to the sheets. So, I just rolled them into balls and flattened them. They tasted good though. Thank you for posting.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Astounding amount of reviews... too many to read so I just read a few of the more helpful ones, and took it from there. The sauce was easy to mix up, and chicken did come out tender. However, I may have put too many vegetables ( potatoes, carrots, onions ), so instead of caramelizing, it got a little watery. Delicious though, so we will make it again. Thank you for sharing.

Snow Flakes

Made mine mint flavored instead of orange, and tinted them green. This was my first time trying out a cookie press, so maybe it was my inexperience with using one, but I had a really hard time getting the cookies out. I had to prise each one away with a small spatula. Cookies tasted good though. Thank you for posting.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

As promised, cookies turned out very soft, but they were too cakelike for me. My daughter said that I should have made a cake instead of cookies with this recipe. While the taste was alright, I will not buy a pudding mix just to make this recipe again. I, too, added 1 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of baking powder as suggested by previous reviewers. Thank you for sharing.

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Having read that one reviewer only needed to freeze the dough for 45 minutes, I ,too, did the same. I used the sugar cookie icing from this site, but flavored them with peppermint. The whole house loved these cookies, so I will be making them again, but will add a little more cream cheese. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Cream Cake

It was a good thing that I read all the reviews before making this cake for even with a 1/2 tsp of salt, I felt it was still a wee bit salty. Next time I might reduce the amount to 1/4 tsp. Other than the salt and baking powder, I followed the instructions as written and had an easy time baking it. Timing was spot on, and cake was delicious. Moist and soft, and not overly sweet. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies

Best Ever Pie Crust

Maybe it is the hot humid weather at our home that is making this dough kind of sticky. I rolled the dough between 2 sheets of cling wrap, but transferring it onto the pie dish was still a problem. It fell apart in places, so my pie was 'patchworky'. Taste was good though, so I will try making this again. Thank you for posting.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Because I already had a ready made pie crust, I used the recipe to make the pie filling only. Sauce was really delicious, but I had a problem with the flour thickening into little lumps that just would not dissolve. Next time I will double the sauce as my children said the pie was lacking in sauce. Fairly simple to make, so this will be repeated at our house. Thank you for posting.

White Chocolate Bread

Too buttery for our tastes. The Chocolate Chip Bread I uses only 1 1/2 tsp of yeast, and 2 tbsp of butter and it rose just as high as this one did and tasted just right. May try making this one again, but with less yeast and butter. Still a pretty good bread. It baked up high and fluffy, and soft, too. Thank you for posting.

Chocolate Chip Bread I

We love this one!! Compared to the other recipe which uses twice the butter but less 1 tbsp of brown sugar and yeast, I think this one has the more spot on measurements. I have no bread machine so I did the kneading on my KA. I let it rise 3 times, and my bread baked up so high and fluffy. I had to use 1 cup more flour, but that is because our weather here is so humid. Baked it in the oven at 350 for about 35 minutes. I added a little cocoa powder in place of the cinnamon, and will increase the cocoa to 1tbsp because we love chocolate here. Mmm. Thank you for posting.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Definitely a make again recipe. Like another reviewer did, I too used fresh minced onion, garlic and deseeded chilli peppers instead of the powdered versions. Also, I sauteed minced garlic with the oil and butter before adding chicken. Really good. Thank you for sharing.
