Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Love it! Have used this recipe often as an alternative to pasta. Have used green olives or mushrooms instead of the black olives which I usually do not have on hand. A great meatless meal.

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Have used this recipe for two years now and never rated it. My husband lives rhubarb pie and this one s tops in his books as it has a top and bottom crust instead of a streusel topping. I do use about an extra cup of rhubarb as my pie plate is very deep and add an extra TB of sugar. As stated, do NOT mix the sugar in with the rhubarb. By putting it on top some of it sticks to the top crust which gives it a nice sugary crunch. Another great recipe!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
These are great! I made them with all the ingredients listed but then added some sliced almonds that I had leftover in the cupboard. Amazing flavor and texture. I love the versatility that this recipe will allow in that you can substitute cranberries for raisins, nuts for sunflower seeds, etc. My husband is a runner and is always looking for wholesome snacks. These bars fit the bill! I make many baked treats from this site and very few have disappointed. Thanks again for another winner.

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Dijon Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
I am not a meat fan but this got rave reviews from my husband. I added some extra Dijon mustard, did not have sour cream so just mixed some milk and lemon juice instead. I omitted the wine and as my husband likes his food with a bit of spice I added some chili flakes. A great recipe for a hot and busy day. Didn't heat up the house and I had a great eal ready even though I was away from homes for most of the day.

Raisin Buttermilk Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2012
OMG! If I could rate a recipe higher it would be this one. I had some buttermilk that had to be used up so when I found this recipe I thought I would give it a try. I am really glad I did.......as are my friends and husband. The cake is so moist and delicious. I plumped up the raisins in some boiling water but other than that followed the recipe exactly. I know I will be buying buttermilk again just so I can make this cake again. I have found many recipes on this site that I have enjoyed but this one is one of the best. Thanks!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I have made these brownies many times since finding this recipe. They are always a hit! The frosting always seemed to be a bit of a challenge as it did get very stiff and was difficult to spread. Today I melted the butter and then added the honey and vanilla. I sifted together the icing sugar and cocoa and then gradually added it to the liquid. It was a bit thick near the end but a dribble of milk made it smooth. I spread the frosting on very quickly while the brownies were still hot. Worked out perfectly!

South American Peanut Pork

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
Delicious! My hubby is on a health food kick but said that this dish was definitely worth the high calories. I have never cooked meat with peanut butter before but had tasted it years before in Holland. We just loved the taste. I did not have chunky peanut butter so just added some chopped peanuts to the mix. Thank you for a great recipe.
