About this Cook
I get bored easily and like to try different recipes. I pride myself on not making the same old boring dishes.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook barbecue and pasta dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We make a German Christmas pudding every Christmas Eve that is really good. Actually it is my sister-in-law who cooks it and it was passed down through the generations. I need to learn it.
My cooking triumphs
My barbecued ribs recipe from Scott Hibbs turned out amazing. I also made the most beautiful cheese cake the other day no cracks in the middle. I love cheese cake.
My cooking tragedies
When I first got married and lived in an apartment, I was given a venison steak. I had no idea what to do with it and just pan fried the steak. The large buck had been shot up in Virginia MN and must have had a diet of tree bark. That steak stunk up the entire apartment building for a few days. My husband and I took one bite and threw it out. I never cooked venison again. I just like beef.

Chili Chicken
This was a finger licking good recipe. I did not feel like firing up the grill so I made it like the first reviewer mentioned and it was so yummy. Thank you Margot for the wonderful recipe. Next time I will make these on the grill.

Lemon Meringue Pie III
First time I made this is was delicious but didn't set up well. I will use more cornstarch next time 3/4 cup instead of 1/2 cup. Also like more meringue on top so I'll use 8 egg whites instead of 4. Loved the flavor.
