Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
It was tasty, but really kind of a belly-buster. If you are looking for something light, this is not the recipe to make.
At lunchtime, I threw in the frozen chicken breasts, 3/4 of the salad dressing mix and fat free cream of mushroom soup into the crockpot on low. I added a generous heaping of sliced fresh mushrooms but NO margarine or butter. Came home 5 hours later and added 3/4 container of low fat cream cheese, shredded the chicken in the crockpot, and began boiling water for the egg noodles.
Very easy to make, but as I said, it was a HEAVY meal. I had to add some milk to the sauce - it was way thick. I took the leftover sauce, added some more milk to thin it out a bit, and froze it for another meal.
