Cranberry Pie II

This wasn't quite what I expected, but it's very good. It's more like a sweet custard pie with a layer of cranberries. I used two cups of frozen cranberries for a stronger flavor. This is a great way to use up those cranberries.

Red Velvet Cake III

Delicious, moist cake! I used two 9" round pans and got two huge layers of cake. My husband couldn't stop raving about this cake. I used my own icing recipe. The only thing I didn't like about this cake is that it turned out more orange than red - even after using all the red food coloring I had. This is definitely a keeper though!

Ham and Cheese Quiche

Simply delicious! This is very hearty with a great texture and good blend of flavors. It's very firm unlike other quiches I've had and doesn't fall apart when you cut into it. I really enjoyed it! I used mozzarella cheese, frozen spinach, and omitted the mushrooms. I will definitely be making this again.

Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This was a very good chicken pot pie. I made a few variations - used a peeled cubed potato, frozen corn and green beans for the vegetables. I also added celery salt and poultry seasoning. I boiled the chicken mixture in chicken broth instead of water per other reviewer's comments. I used prepackaged pie crusts - I think with my own pie crust this would be five stars. Definitely the best pot pie I've ever made from scratch.

Southern Peach Cobbler

This is peach cobbler perfection! Delicious, old-fashioned taste. The brown sugar makes it so yummy and the crust has the perfect texture. I used 6 peaches and had ample filling. I highly recommend this recipe.
